Iron Heart official Trailer

you can tell this was one of those pre doomsday, fantastic four projects that was greenlit and is probably gonna be an abomination just like the rest.

at least it released though, you can give it that. Blade is still dead in the wind. (and it was one of the projects that would have been an easy win, Mahershala Ali as Blade, especially coming hot off all his big performances)

Slop levels at maximum
No

We can go further!

No doubt Greenlit when the DEI agenda was running at full steam within Disney
They filmed this in 2022 and were sitting on it until now. At the same time they thought about a series about Okoye, but never filmed it and thankfully cancelled it this year.

I kinda hope they make her a muslim as a trailer red herring but actually a worshipper of a cult built around Dr. Doom and she is building all this advanced tech right under the noses of SHIELD/SWORD/MCU police/TSA etc and ends up being a villain. Now THAT show I'd watch!

And there had better be some Han Solo jokes in there......
That would be far better than another boring character intro that goes nowhere.

We've already seen her in BP 2. They won't deviate too far from the comics.

So are they just capitalizing on Coogler's bit of success with Sinners?

I wonder if there is something in this show that links to an upcoming series/movie. So they had to release it to set up something else.

"I want to build something else that is iconic."

By building an Iron Man suite? By being the Tony Stark replacement character?

Seems like such a bad line to have in the show...let alone the trailer where you're trying to sell a product

You know he's the one who directed and co-wrote both Black Panther films, directed Fruitvale Station and co-developed and directed Creed before he did Sinners. And he's the executive producer of IronHeart. Maybe give him a lil more respect than "bit of success"

Why do they always have to make them insufferable?

Tony Stark - Wants to right his wrongs and help people

This tard - huge ego and wants to build something "iconic" despite it being a copy.

Maximum slop.

I am currently trying to catch up with MCU movies/series.
Moon Knight was good but not a good superhero/MCU series for me. Action and fights were very meh.
Now on Ms. Marvel and it's quiet annoying. While I like Kamala's energy, it's too much teenage and quite pushy on the minority representation (you don't have to explain everything to your audience, I think they have brain to get the obvious stuff).
But the fights and action are so bad. Looks like a fan low budget movie.

This trailer still looks full on the "teenager" energy and protagonist looks irritating. But on the bright side, CGI/armor and fights looks like something I'd like.
So let's hope there is more super hero stuff and less bla bla.

MCU is really going down since the first few movies and series of Phase 4, from what I've seen.
But looks like Daredevil and Thunderbolts are pretty good so maybe the trend will change.
Still a lot to catch up.

Looks like a good show for young children. Personally not my cup of tea, but I'm sure kids will love it.

I think the plan really was that these b-list heroes with hamfisted minority backgrounds were supposed to become the new Avengers and take on Kang, before the entire deal shifted to Doom.

Disney has a lot of these clunkers in the pipeline still from that era of thinking. 2020 was a wild time...

Deadpool vs Wolverine and Thunderbolts are more in the new direction they will be going.

Oh yeah, and since that other poster is now gone... we are all allowed to state the obvious that RDJ will show up as Iron Man again, right? He isn't just "RDJ playing Dr. Doom."

But she's NOT a replacement for Tony Stark! Didney and Coogler TOLD US she's not!

I know Cooglers bio, I'm saying that the announcement coming right now, talking Coogler's involvement up, is likely just trying to capitalize on Sinners, which is yes, a bit of success of a film (in the US at least, it is floundering overseas). But Coogler didn't write any episodes nor direct any for Ironheart, at least not credited, and looking over the writing/directing staff there isn't much of anything there to give hope of a high action CG-savvy team. Sorry, but almost everything about this project screams "meh" (except for the budgets, I see reports of TWENTY MILLION PER EPISODE). I'm sure it will be a touching story about a young person who is a super genius and instead of being relentlessly sought after for jobs at Alphabet/MS/Apple/Meta she is persistently marginalized yadda yadda and has to make her own way by her own bootstraps and all the mech suit hero stuff will be very tacked on.

Now if they can do this about a "young person", i.e. keep all the racial and gendered ballyhoo out of it, then I might be interested as youth encountering a jaded exploitative system is usually good story. But looking at the creative team, I gotta think this is gonna be a ESG/DEI front and foremost production and since the narrative now is if the lead character doesn't "look exactly like me, then it isn't for me" so I guess I'll just let those legions of young female POC marvel fans take the lead and make this show a resounding success, as they have done for some many other projects lately.....right?

This is most definitely a "I'm not the target audience" project, just like Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, and Agatha All Along before it (dang, totally forgot about Echo as well). It's ok though, I'll take Daredevil and X-men and some other audience can take Ironheart. I think everything Marvel is fading but there may still be some life in the horse yet.

Looks like the Blue Beetle movie , You can swap characters and is the same stuff...looks like a cheap tier B production.

it should be free on You tube or other places. just imagine giving your time and money to Disney to watch this stuff...

That looks really corny to me but that tracks with how the character came across in BP3 or whatever. All of the acting feels so forced.

The elevator death trap as a test thing is just brain dead stuff.

I don't wanna live on a world where being the director of the 2 black panther movies is considered a huge praise...

First movie was average at best and the second one, well...

GAFers when "from the director of Black Panther Wakanda Forever" appears on screen.

I lived the first one.... Hated Shuri's anger all the time. Queen mother, Namor, the Dora... I really liked. It was just too sad and ish for me. Part 3 will hopefully have a new T'Challa and we can have a happier movie with lots of action and beautiful African women! Shuri is just too young looking for me to ogle. I feel dirty.

Well, I got the answer about the hologram... Apparently it's an AI hologram of her deceased best friend... Not Stark, even though that's who inspired her. And probably because RDJ is too expensive.

She was 24 when the first movie came out, and I was 32, so it wasn't an issue for me, so I assume you're older than me? I think she's quite attractive.

Wasn't big on her haircut in the second movie though. Don't get me wrong, lots of women look very attractive with short hair, but I just wasn't big on how it looked on her.

Lupita Nyong'o always looks gorgeous though.

Well, maybe only 50% of her in:

Black Panther was a much more interesting character with better action scenes in Captain America: Civil War than in his own movie. The first BP movie was a real disappointment, it was a boring mess capped by the absolute worst final battle in any Marvel movie. never bothered with the sequel.

Yep, I'm older. I'll be 51 later this summer

Marvel TV Shows have not been good in a while.

I still haven't watched Agatha All Along.

Echo was meh.

What If started strong but never took advantage of its potential.

Secret Invasion…I just can't.

She-Hulk - best episode was with Daredevil. Others were blah.

Ms. Marvel was good.

Moon Knight - More please, but it's probably one and done.

Hawkeye - had its moments, but they just handled Kingpin so wrong.

Falcon and Winter Soldier - best thing to come out of that was John Walker. Love him in TBolts.

Loki - the exception to the rule. Loved it!

Wandavision - I liked it at the time but was still on EndGame high. Would need to rewatch and see if it holds up. They did botch a chance to bring in Evan Peters. Man, I liked him as Quicksilver.

I liked Daredevil Born Again, but not enough Daredevil. Should have just called It Matt Murdock: Make Up Your Mind. It's gonna rock in season 2 though.

Although to be fair most characters were also at their best in CW.

Anyways, I love the return of the mechanical suit for Iron Heart. The rest is pretty meh - don't love it, but don't hate it. Only thing that would make it an instant win is Anthony Ramos sipping some Crown Royal in the Hood.

BP was kinda like Iron Man case - the charisma of the MC made the movie better than it was.

This made me realise how few of these I've seen. I've watched less than half of the ones listed here.
