Iron Heart official Trailer

Why would I look at one-star reviews if trying to prove Disney are using bots.

You didn't... Ok, well, that was enlightening.

How does this prove they're bots? So what are the 1 star reviews from people who've never posted a review before? Are they also bots? How deep does this nonsensical conspiracy of yours go?

Regardless, way to admit you failed to actually fully analyze the audience reviews. Made my job easy.

Yep, seems legit, no bots detected....

Made my job easy.

And you can find, yet somehow you "conveniently" didn't, one sentence reviews for it that give it 1 star.

at least they did not call it a MOVIE....bad sloppily programmed bot!!

Why in your screenshot is 'Kelvin T' using the term 'restroom', Isn't that a term for a public toilet?

Well There It Is Jurassic Park GIF
willothe dog was talking about Disney bots, and the possibility of 1 sentence 5-star reviews being fishy.

Why would you bringing up similar 1-star reviews be done by Disney sabotaging their own movie?

Literally a villain by all of her characteristics and the writers don't realize. Fitting.

It's like Disney writers are deliberately going out of their way to make the most insufferable and unlikeable characters. They should be forced to watch their own shit on repeat as punishment and education.

What a disaster. Disney's latest Marvel and theatrical cartoon (Ironheart and Elio) are a giant dynamic duo bust at the same time. This company has to get it's act together to focus on good stuff that sells.

Btw, Elio's box office tracking is so bad, it's looking like among the worst ever for a Pixar flick (excluding those limited release covid year or straight to Disney+ films.)

It gets to a point, it seems that way. How can any giant company with tons of media pros churn out so many bad products just due to bad luck or getting outwitted by better competing products. As you said, it's like some of them are purposely sabotaging the projects not giving a shit by making wishy washy content. As long as they can get another gig who cares is the vibe I get. Similar to video games and studios churning out crap. As long as they got the funding to make their project for a bunch of years, who really cares about success. They already got paid and by the time it comes out many of them are already working on another thing anyway as their task was done months ago.

I dont get a sense any people whove I've ever worked with (internal veteran employees or new external hires) go out of their way to dump down the product lines where it's pretty darn obvious from the start it'll be a clunker. But in media, it seems before it even releases, a lot of projects based on trailers, info, politics, or from loud employees on social media you can already tell whether it'll be a success or not.

And that makes sense because media is a frontloaded product. Big sales and views are at the beginning and when the content is over it dies. Only super long TV series or GAAS games have a long term strategy. But even that tapers off eventually. But most media is finished and they move on. Many other industries are different because the goal is infinite sales growth. Like selling Coke or Oreos forever. The goal is growing sales every year no matter which employees are at the company hoping it goes on forever. So they need solid products, strategy, and a long term focus. Not a shotgunned 15 episode series or a video game which can be good or stupid where once it's done it's done anyway, so time to move onto the next project and never look back.

1 month till FFFS, I think that will be their make or break moment. I think they have already started sliding back those phase 6 or whatever film releases, if FFFS pancakes they are gonna have to retool everything I think. I suspect FFFS will be in the range of Thunderbolts and BNW, aka 400-500 mill rather than the 800+ they enjoyed a few years back but will be tepid in terms of stimulating interest in the Dr. Doom stuff.

There is no irony. Those characters are just like their creators. They are terrible people who write terrible characters. The result is having actual villains portrayed as heroes, because their morality is completely warped.

Only Disney could make a show about the smartest Black woman in the world and have her still be a broke thief. 🫣

Why not write the character as a typical middle class kid, maybe bored in school. Have a Father and mother. That would be novel.

This is where Miles is so much better when he debuted. Talented, but has struggles, has working class parents with their own issues. Just a well written, likable character when he first debuted.

Because that would be too boring. In media, many people love extremes making it more exciting. So writers go with it. And when it comes to superheroes, the story and superpowers usually have to be amped up like every character is super strong, fast, and practically impossible to kill. They can make more muted characters like in the show Heroes where you got pretty normal people with a single big power. And they can be killed like a normal person and dont wear spandex costumes or capes either. But that would be too boring and normie.

It's like watching sports and which athletes back stories do sports channels promote the most. The kid who grew up dirt poor or lived in farm country and played his ass off making the team coming from a single parent home? Or the kid who came from a boring middle class fam in the burbs with two parents, both worked normal jobs and access to league play is no problem because there was always one parent to drive the kid to games. The former is always more interesting as it's a kid in an underdog situation succeeding.

One day, when DEI falls out of fashion, we will look at all the woke trash media of the last decade and wonder what the hell were we thinking? These will age so badly that no movie, show or game of this kind will ever earn even a niche cult classic status or "so bad it's good" commentary. Everyone will just rather forget they existed and let them fall into obscurity, which is exactly what these devoid of any artistic integrity pieces of trash deserve.

first impressions coming in.
*gasp* Ironheart is garbage. Why are audiences so racist..

Funny, thank god people on the other side don't resort to baseless attacks on people's morality over a TV show-

I feel they'll be remembered akin to the straight to DVD films, or if your older, those shlock horrors on VHS you'd never heard of in Blockbuster you'd rent for a laugh

The ones with the awful cover art.

I'm not. I'm pointing out that a positive review being done in one sentence and by people with little to no voting history doesn't prove they're a bot if there are votes on the opposite end that fit the same description.

Baseless? Writers are SELF-INSERTING their morality and "values" preaching through their characters, who don't have any kind of agency. This is repeating over and over and over and over... ad infinitum.

And yes, that main character is A VILLAIN by any normal person's standards. The same way as Galadriel is also a villain in Rings of Power. If they are portrayed as heroes is just because their writters have a villain mindset, it's not rocket science.

Or maybe the exploitation films of the 70's. Those are pretty forgotten/aged terribly/nobody talks about them anymore.

James Gunn's Superman is coming up. Marvel used to be winning versus DC.
Guess it be nice to be DC's turn to be top. Bring on the Green Lanturn and good Flash movies

Even though I wanted to wait until all the episodes were out before watching, I had to read summaries to check this (because lord knows I don't trust certain people to provide honest or accurate analysis of a show like this), so, you know, thanks for that.

They're robbing companies that are hurting small communities and such. Also, Riri does question doing this, and Anthony Ramos (you know, the guy the trailer clearly shows in a sinister light) is the one who argues otherwise. Man, it's almost like the show is trying to do a character arc or something…..

But even if she does still feel justified in robbing these places, let me ask: is everyone who has ever written a Robin Hood story an awful human being as well by your rules? Or a Punisher comic where he ignores due process and just guns down criminals even when he's not actively threatened by them? Or 24 where the main character utilizes torture?

Unless the writers themselves are robbing places, you are being absolutely ridiculous with these insane claims, and just further proof both sides are guilty of baseless attacks on morality over nothing.

Also, just LOL at the people saying because she's black that it's the show being racist that she steals something.

Uh, NO, it's actually racist, in a positive discrimination angle, to suggest a black character can never engage in a crime no matter what it is.

Like, what, are we calling The Wire racist as well? Come on, you all.

Which side are you talking about?

The culture "war". And I'm seeing more and more people no longer wanting to be associated with either side. The woke extremists pissed people off obviously, but now too many of the vocal side of the anti-woke want to label almost anything they can bullshit as "woke" and people are getting sick of that too.

As mentioned earlier, for example, Critical Drinker's "review" of Thunderbolts got him a lot of flack from some of his community. Like, calling Yelena a "girl boss". Ah yes, the character who admits to feeling depressed, frequently offers emotional support to Bob, admits she was just as useless as the rest of her team in the fight against a certain someone (spoilers), and needs emotional support from her father to get back into the fight. Ah yes, Drinker, she's CLEARLY a "girl boss".

I finished the 3 episodes, and they are all focused on her doing crime. She has a rap sheet of several pages at the end of episode 3.

Her gang exorts people, not for money, but to get signed into their companies as employees with benefits. Not joking.

Her gang is killing people and shit and she doesnt seem to mind.

The reason people didn't want this is because the actress and this character was horrible in Wakanda Forever, and it is just as bad here.

I hope the last 3 episodes might redeem some of this, but she really needs to turn into fucking Ironheart and waste this lesbian/drag gang she hangs with.

i'm sure the payoff of a new group consisting of IronHeart, Black Pantress, Ms. Marvel and Hawkgirl at the end will be worth it.

I forgot, there are these two pudgy lesbian truck driver chicks that acts as the "muscle". In every heist, they just run into a building and starts swinging at the people working there.

It's how they clear out the security.

Because the security is always standing around in one room ready to fistfight.

At some point, the truck driver girls get trapped inside a room, and one of them starts hitting the security door with her fists. I laughed so hard I almost fell out of my chair. This stupid idiot tried to punch her way out of the room.

These two truck driver girls are the best and worst thing about the show, it's both ultra-cringe and fun in a b-movie sort of way at the same time.

The writers saw these characters as good people based on their identity and subsequent victimhood, not based on their actions or character.

I find a lot of those films to be empowering.

They had no budget because they were for a niche audience. I respect that hustle. But the notion that a 200 MILLION dollar show can 'afford' to be preachy, that's just nonsense.

But its really the bad writing that will doom these shows. Even without the preaching it would still be poorly constructed, lacking narrative drive, have bad characters, and be annoyingly inconsequential.

2 episodes in, and yeah, just don't like Riri. And why does it look like it was shot on an iPhone? Definite bottom of the Marvel pile so far.

Case in point, she goes to a big time university, just came from Wakanda and is friends with powerful people, and have the skillsets to get million dollar jobs on the spot.

Yet, in this series, they throw her into a position where she is poor and struggles for money, when that is simply not the case.

I barely took Drinker seriously in the first place, but I completely stopped once he posted a review video, started it by saying "I didn't watch the movie", and proceeded to review what he felt the movie was like in his mind.

If people want to follow certain creators, I hope they can at least spot the ones who are phoning it in for a check at this point.
