Is $230 a good price for PS5 Digital without controller?

nah dude...
With your budget, buying 230$ of weed and smoking it all would be the smart investor move.

If you really cannot find weed in your area, buy the ps5 i guess it is half the price of a new one and you can test it before hand, so anybody with the right amount of chromosomes can see it's a good deal.

Great deal, so long as it's in mint condition

A guy is selling it. He will keep the controller and said the PS5 had seen little use. He's willing to let me come over and test it. We're both acquainted.

Is it a good deal? Thoughts?

230, used, no controller, meaning, you'd have to splurge 70 Euro dollars on top of the 230 for a new dualsense.

300 Eurodollars for a used, digital edition - and especially if it's the older, non-slim version - doesn't sound that good of a deal to me, you could find a disk version for that kind of money.

PS5 slim digital was 340 a couple of weeks back new.

Controllers are like $80? So you getting less than $100 off an MSRP of $400. Maybe a bit more depending on taxes where you live. I wouldn’t bite.

I'm selling my disc OG launch PS5 one for 330€, with a controller and a game.

So far people try to bring the value down. People are so funny these days.

You see if it turns on I guess.

Selling without the controller make me think there's something wrong with it.

I sold my OG PS4 without the controller because I upgraded to the pro and wanted to keep the extra controller.

It would be best for the OP to just ask why it comes without the controller.

How are you going to make sure it works without the controller?
The person selling is keeping the controller and would obviously have it at his house when asking to come over.

It's a good deal, go for it.

It's an ok deal?
As others said, once you add in the cost of an extra controller you are paying $300 for it. Which is a fairly standard price for a used digtial Ps5.
But if it's someone you are acquainted with it's probably still a safer bet than buying from some rando on the internet.

There are some electronics I would never buy used. Consoles are one. Sounds like a good deal though. How much debt do you have on your credit cards? ANd a car note?

Not only would I not trust a second-hand console, I definitely wouldn't trust a second-hand console without a controller.
How are you going to make sure it works without the controller?
That's a neat trick I learned when selling used cars. I'd remove the steering wheel.
You turn it on and see if it works.
He is trustworthy. We've known each other for a few years. I can test the PS5 to my heart's content at his place, and can go multiple times if I'm not satisfied in one visit.
He wants to keep the controller because he plays sports games with friends and everyone brings their own controller when gathering.

I'd spend the bit extra for a new Slim. You get warranty if anything goes wrong, plus you can add in a drive should you want one later on.

Not a bad price for a PS5 though, and good deal if it was kept in good condition.

Go for it man, you are basically getting most powerful non pro console in existence for cheap.

With fantastic library between 2 generations and a guaranteed 3rd party support.

A new controller is $70 so that puts it at $300 used with no warranty and a used console. Id personally pass.
