Is 34 too old to learn how to skateboard.

People like this churn out victim card shit like campfire stories to women.
He's probably plastered in tattoos by now.
🤣🤣🤣 fuck, that made me laugh

Funny enough he's not, but I have quite a lot of them.

Different shoes: my teacher says I just need to skate more so that they loose their grip to make shifting easier.

The problem won't be learning; the problem will be athleticism.

If you've managed to keep yourself athletic and in shape you'll be able to learn

Eerm, this isn't Ping Pong and there is a steep learning curve. More than half of it is experimenting. But the good news is that everyone can try. Skating is not a gated community. That's why it's awesome because people are willing to help and teach the next person who is interested buy who can't shed that claustrophobia.

I'd chalk it up to confidence and stupidity and it varies for everyone regardless of their shape. You need to be missing a few nuts & bolts that is for certain.

But yeah, never stop improving.

nothing is ever unlearnable.

if you have that mindset going in then you will never achieve your goal.

fitness and core strength and balance however is vital to something that involves exactly those things.

core strength is important to literally any physical activity.

I wish I could wear SB Dunks and be gnarly in them but they fly away from my feet faster than my board does. So, I wear SB Blazer Mids instead. It's pretty effing cold outside too.

Very true!
Do your kegels!

Nobody EVER gets acatuallly good at skateboarding it's all falliung down all the time, try something easier you can get to dominate, also as you get older injuries get worse so...

Man. I'm glad this got bumped.

You know what's embarrassing? People that judge others by calling it embarrassing. Project how you're afraid to fail on to others lol.

OP- have you picked it up? I'm proud of you!
Those who think it's embarrassing probably don't do anything and sit in front of a screen all day

I hope the OP has been skateboarding

Besides being a cool sport, you can also make lots of friends

It's not too old to learn, but you will not be able to take falls like the kids do, you'll more than likely break a bone very quickly lol

I used to skate a fair bit as a kid, and I just can't do it any more because the recovery time from taking the smallest L can be weeks and I can't afford to take time off work
