Is anyone else getting redirects on Neogaf lately?

Lately I'll be clicking something on the site, like the link to off-topic on the upper left side of the screen or something, and then I get redirect to like dish.com or something. This doesn't happen when I'm browsing any other sites. I'm using Chrome on Windows 10. Is this happening to anyone else lately? It doesn't happen every time, but sometimes. I don't know if it matters that my browser window is half-screen width and not full screen.

Not happening to me, sounds pretty dodgy you're being redirected. New dodgy browser plug-in/extension? Did you try another browser?

Used to happen pretty much regularly a few years ago. That's when I permanently switched to Adblock Browser on Android. Browsing GAF without being redirected had become literally impossible.

Use the EDGE chromium and these redirect are most likely cause by some extension in Chrome. Or you have more serious issue...

I just completely uninstalled Chrome and re-installed so I'll see if it happens again
Simple uninstall doesn't get rid of pesky extensions, they are often lodged somewhere in profile and come back with reinstall.
Try Malwarebytes.

nah but i do use Firefox with custom (strict) enhanced tracking protection and extensions uBlock Origin + Privacy Badger so a lot of crap is blocked for me. no ads/pop ups/trackers and only essential cookies.

run malwarebytes and ditch Chrome

I used to have the same issues using Safari on iOS on multiple sites. A quick deletion of my cookies, which really is not much of an inconvenience for me, and it stopped. I haven’t seen it happen in awhile.

After reinstalling Chrome, I ran Malwarebytes (free trial) and MS defender and neither found any issues, so maybe I'm in the clear now. It hasn't happened since, so fingers crossed.
