Is anyone going to get Titanfall for the Xbox 360?

I dont have numbers for this, going based on memory, but wasnt the gamecube version significantly harder to find than the Wii version? I remember looking for the gamecube version for my brothers birthday and couldnt find it anywhere. Eventually found it in a random game store, last copy.

It launched later, but I never had any issues finding it. I imagine it became harder as the GCN fizzled into oblivion.

PC. But much later after game is release for :
- Hype less and step back feedback
- Patch, balance and optimization
- Price
- No way I'm dipping again after BF3, what BF4 looks like and all these other online only games

Exactly, the logic isn't that hard to understand. I guess if they released Titanfall on the PS2 it'd destroy everything because there's like 7 billion of those.

The GCN had a terrible install base compared to the 360, and the PS2 example is horrible hyperbole. While its possible for Microsoft to push the Xbone version and have it sell better, we're talking about a system that will be lucky to have 5 million users by the time the console launches versus 80 million. It isn't a stretch to see the 360 version outperforming the Xbone.

I'm sorry if my PS2 numbers are off by a unit or two.

Honestly, I might if Microsoft ends up doing something significantly more anti-consumer than what they're already doing with the Xbox One, and if it never gets ported to the PS4 or something. I really really really don't want to install Origin.

It's possible. I certainly wouldn't put it past them. Nintendo was pushing hard that the Wii version of TP was the definitive version, so they might have intentionally short-sold supply of the gamecube version to increase demand for the Wii version (you know, entice Zelda fans to opt for it instead of hoping to find a GCN version). They are a business after all.

That's not the point. The point is that with TP, the Gamecube had the much higher install base at the time, the Wii was extremely difficult to find, and yet the Wii version still outperformed it handily. And that could happen with Titanfall as well.

I'm not saying the the 360 version won't outperform the Xbone version, I'm just saying it's a possibility that the One version may beat it out, and a strong one at that.

I'm sorry if my PS2 numbers are off by a unit or two.

I'm planning on it right now, although I'm really not sure how it's going to run on the 360. That's something of a concern. However I don't have a gaming PC and I more than likely won't have an X1 by then as I just bought a PS4, so the 360 is really my only option at this point. Hopefully it isn't drastically worse than the X1 version.

Dedicated servers on Xbox 360, will probably buy it. I'm planning to get the Xbox One, only if I hear some good Halo news. Another Halo 4 type game, and I'm done with Xbox after nearly 12+ years of being a somewhat loyal gamer.

Even with super strong sales of Xbox one, the sheer number of potential xbox 360 owners means the community will still be pretty high in number.

well, I am pretty sure that early on, it will sell on 360 at least 4x as much as xbone and pc combined..
as time passes, and IF the game stacks up to hype, I can see EVERY copy sold on 360 being a backdoor for that same user account to be brought to xbone.

Of course I know this. I use a wireless one with the dongle when I do occasional (rare) gaming on PC. I think you missed the part about multiplayer.

If I go online with a 360 pad against KB/M players I'll just get slaughtered and not have any fun, hence not enjoying the multiplayer on PC.

ah, yes I did miss that. just become an evasion expert. kbm has an advantage with aim, but gamepadding is more maneuverable.

Nope. With the tired entries from the big FPS franchises this year it's all set up for a new IP to come and take the genre by storm. I cant be playing COD4 with Mechs on my soon to be decade old console.

If I don't get a PS4, I'll get it for Xbox One. Not sure which one I'm getting. I wanted XO.. Once I go next gen, I'm not going back and wont be playing my 360 at all except for FIFA14 for clubs with my friends.

PC for me. no offence to console gamers but playing FPS with a controller imo is just horrible. They are so inaccurate and so slow compared to a mouse

isn't the game MP only anyway?

Xbox One for me, play in a recliner so k/m isn't comfortable and I prefer my pad. 360 is done for me with the exception of Dark Souls II plus we don't even know who is porting it.

This is THE game that I bought an Xbox One for. Not going anywhere near this game on 360.

I may double dip on PC though.

80 million users on 360 but Titanfall is going to (and actively is) getting pushed as an Xbox One game; the community will be stronger there. Unless that's your only option, I can't imagine anyone not getting the XB1 or PC version. XB1 for me.
How can the community be stronger on X1 when you post 80million users are on 360?

I'm not getting a PS4 or an Xbone till the end of 2014 so yeah if the port is decent I'm definitely getting the 360 version.

I'll probably double dip by buying the 360 version in March and then again a year later for the Xbone when there's a larger install base.

Maybe on PC. As it doesn't look like a really demanding game so my old laptop may run it on mid-low. Also I'll probably wait for a discount.

I probably will, only because I haven't decided which console I'm going to get, and even if I did make up my mind, I probably wouldn't have enough money to buy a new console when Titanfall releases.

Not really. When you use kb/m you use the camera to fine tune your movements. It's better than dual analogues even for moving around. Examples: Quake, Mirror's edge.

Until they show some footage from the 360, I'll stick to the PC version, I guess.

Sad fact: I'm tired of PC gaming (because I'm working with computers every day for like 50h/week.

PC for me. I figure there's a decent chance (if the port is good) that 360 sales might outweigh XB1 sales - depends on how well XB1 sells up to the title launch obviously and how much difference there really is between the two versions.

You know Titanfall is MP only, right?

XONE all the way !

Respawn have said that the cloud implementation is integral to the experience... plus it will be so much sweeter on the XONE.

The game world and mechanics look cool, but I have absolutely no interest in online multiplayer. (I'm a huge Bungie fan and I'm not even entertaining the thought of buying Destiny.) If I did I'd get it on PC.
