I ask because I just went by the local Gamerush I am in walking distance from and procured two brand new copies of the game for a total of $20.

I haven't seen the game anywhere in over a year in my area, so I was wondering if it was the same for everyone else. Gonna try to dump off the 2nd copy for $50 on Ebay if it is indeed hard to come by.

I suggest you buy a few hundred copies and try to sell them for $300 apiece. You could corner the market!

:lol $2? Now I feel like I got ripped off. Seriously though, there aren't any Circuit Cities around here, so that wouldn't have helped me.

The game is pretty cool so far. The graphics haven't aged very well, but I dig playing all the multiple characters and sanity effects. Story isn't making a whole lot of sense yet.

Yeah, because it's a really good game. Even has a 92% rating on Gamerankings. People just love to hate on it because it's exclusive to Gamecube and didn't sell very well. No sales = shitty game to GAF.

Eternal Darkness is a mediocre game that tries to pursue some interesting ideas but fails miserably.

And the game spells magic "Magick." That's just silly.

Wal-Mart STILL sells this for $49.99 at my local stores. Simply return it without a receipt and say you got it as a gift and get something else. You can do this like 3-4 times in 3 months without a problem. It's when you do it more than that when they start to look into it. SO easy spend $10 get brand new $50 game. This is illegal to do but so is downloading music and everyone cheats the system anyway that they can period, anyways so giving out this public information shouldn't be too bad on my karma. So if anything, if you want to risk it, it's definately worth a shot.

thought it worth mentioning that I got a copy today for $13, or less than that really since it was part of the Gamestop buy 2 get 1 free deal

Not that I've done it, but it was 3 times per year in early 2003. And they keep track of your DL # so they know how long it's been.

Don't believe the haters. ED has a lot of interesting ideas and pulls them off well. It's sort of a shame that it was a GC exclusive, since that meant that it was completely overshadowed by REmake.

I just finally got around to finishing Eternal Darkness this weekend.. I thought it was a pretty good game.

The only thing I found lame about it were the "extras"....

Beat the game three times in a row, and then you can unlock "Eternal" mode (unlimited health). Yay! I mean I already played it start to finsih THREE FRICKIN' TIMES, obviously I would want to play through it AGAIN, except this time with unlimted health....WEAK.
