sweet, i can now say I've been featured in a legendary Gaf gif!

My ban was lifted today at 5. I had no idea of the countdown, stickies or the mass bannings until around 3:30 today when I tried to log on at work. Crazy stuff. My ban was warranted, that dumb joke I made about the dude flaunting his stuff "asking for it" was in poor taste. Oh well, glad I served a brief sentence. Catching up on the reactions in this thread as it was happening has certainly been entertaining.

Sometimes Gaf gets a little out of control. Glad the mods put a stop to the nonsense. I just saw the last few pages of that thread too (long after i stopped posting in it). Jeez.

So I'm back, was banned for a day and all for that one post that was linked. I honestly don't think it was warranted. And Stump, you said that ban messages are better now than they were 5 or 6 years ago, and that anyone who gets banned usually can figure out why they were banned... I wonder what you think they were like back then because all my ban message said was "cmon son". I'm not sure how I broke the rules or even the spirit of the rules from that single post I made in the creeper thread but if you ask me, yes GAF has become too strict, at least based on my personal experience.

Mine only said c'mon son too. Had no idea what happened. Had to log out and click around to see what happened. Givent he circumstances, we can't all expect personalized notes for something like what happened.

Can't deny that in general Neogaf has a liberal slant.

This is probably due to a large non-American population and the concept of "left wing" and "right wing" in America is probably closer to "right wing" and "far right" outside of Europe.

On the bright side I did like the avatar - whats the statute of limitation on these things. I mean, its not like Blasty needs it any more...

Kinda academic now that Blasty is confirmed to be coming back, but the character is from Fate/Stay Night (or the Fate/whatever series, she's a regular), so there should be plenty of avatar ready or easy-to-advertise pics out on the interwebs.

I don't think saying "fuck off" is personally attacking someone. It's something, but not that. Just my opinion. I've seen a metric shit ton of shut the fuck up's go unbanned, and they're basically the same thing.
