Xbox are the biggest joke/disgrace in the gaming industry. Phil spencer is the worst gaming CEO of all time and a walking embarrassment of a man who single handedly destroyed the xbox division with gamepass. Everyday he wakes up and looks in the mirror the only thing staring back at him is a clown because that's what he is and always will be for what he did to the xbox brand.

I mean its kindof pricey. I just left my PC Gamepass sub rolling because its a reasonable amount of money, even if I don't play that month.

Who do they think I am - Elon Musk??

I was on GamePass since it was available for PC. I just cancelled.

go away goodbye GIF

Edit: I also just got back from trading in my XSX at GameStop, where I took the $250 in store credit it and spent it on $250 worth of Steam cards.

Dumbasses. :messenger_grinning_smiling:

Ultimate?

I might stick with PC Gamepass after I see the rest of the announcements for 2026.
If Forza Horizon 6, E-Day, Fable, Plagues Tale Resonance, State of Decay 3 and Clockwork Revo are all guaranteed 2026 titles, ill probably stick around with PC Gamepass.
Otherwise back to dem keys for me.

At that absurd price, it's clearly not worth it. For $360 a year, you buy the games you're interested in, and you own them, not just rent them. People will be leaving the service en masse.

I'm only subbing to PC Gamepass. I left Ultimate back in 2023.
I don't need the Cloud. Nor do I need an xbox console

I assume that the new handheld fullscreen experience on the ROG is considered PC gamepass???

Of course it will survive. No I won't be subscribing for $30 a month whenever that hits PC game pass.

All the people unsubscribing prematurely will be scrambling to re subscribe again when NG4, Keeper, OW2, COD will drop in just a month.

No one is subscribing to gamepass for keeper. And the people that just play COD yearly will buy it physically not subscribe to a subscription service for it. COD has done absolutely 0 to boost gamepasses revenue/profit margins.

I mean, Microsoft just made my internal debate much easier as I was already on the fence about resubbing at $20 a month when my stack ends in December. It was still semi-worth it to me at that price, but with the cost of everything else going up, I wasn't sure I could justify it. Making it $30 a month solves that debate instantly and puts it in the hard no category. I'd rather just buy some cheap Core/Essential gray market 90 day key to keep my online multiplayer access.

I hope it loses millions of subscribers and Microsoft is forced to reduce its price, otherwise Sony will get excited and increase the price of PS+ Premium to $30 too.

I'd argue that is the hope of most atm. Enough of a blow to realize what a dumb idea it was and alter course.

yes. Is the price increase ridiculous, also yes. The younger generation is only going to know subscriptions anyway. And since people wanted digital only this is what youre going to get in the future, just wait.

I get 30 bucks worth of value from it every month, that being said. I think thats the last price increase im willing to pay.

People will pay for quality.

Am gonna start supporting devs by subscribing to gamepass.

I listed 4 games.

Gamepass is a failure and has destroyed the xbox brand. They're raising prices cause it isn't sustainable on its own, and they're trying to milk the customers they do have because the service isn't growing enough to succeed at the current profit margins 'if their is any profit to begin with'. Gamepass is one of the biggest disasters to hit the gaming industry, because it single handedly forced a company as big as xbox to go third party and to become irrelevant in the hardware space as a whole.

Raising prices an obscene amount is just a way to soft kill the subscription. It will be kept around for the whales and those who forget to cancel. I don't think they mind subscribers dropping off and buying games instead.

Xbox is milking customers or customers milking Xbox?

This is getting confusing.

Basically gamepass only has value on current price if you are someone who otherwise would be buying tons of AAA games yearly at full price, there are very few of those kinds of gamers. If you have any other interest and hobbies other than gaming then you won't game enough for this monthly price to be good value for you.
