Is it just me, or does the new Nintendo wheelchair game look absolutely terrible and unfun?

It's very strange that a game such as this got the greenlight from Nintendo. The concept is terrible imo because did anyone every think to themselves "I wish there was a wheelchair basketball game", but it's not just that.

The graphics are terribly bland and color palette is drab as hell.

Look at this:

Who is for? It looks like F2P Steam slop that gets shut down after a week because of the lack of players. The effects are shit.

The name, "Drag x Drive" is also so unremarkable and forgettable. I guess it's just one of those throwaway games created to show off the new controls, like ARMS was on the Switch 1, but at least that looked to have a semblance of charm.

Whereas this just looks like a weak attempt at ripping off Rocket League with handicapped characters.

This has potential to go down as the worst Nintendo first-party game ever IMO.

It's as bad as Blast ball looked, no idea why the arenas are so bland.

Give the disabled a bit of joy and color lol.

I don't know how this got greenlit? They could have made a Mario paint or Balloon Fight, or a mini game collection.

Why in the world would you want a game with a person or robot with disability? If Nintendo was smart, and they wanted to be inclusive, make a new character that has disability and include them in Mario Kart or something. That would be cool!

Did Nintendo go woke and failed at it? I truly am perplexed.

It does have better graphical fidelity than Mario Kart and Donkey Kong when you look at it, though.

First off, you need a flat surface in front of you to play. 2nd, that surface has to be at a comfortable level. 3rd, you have to pick up the "mouse" to make a shot, and that seems really unintuitive and uncomfortable considering I lightly move a mouse around with thumb and pinkie.

The whole thing just seems unfun.

Those first two things I thought you were referring to using a wheelchair...

OMG, a new Mario Paint would have been amazing... instead we get this. damn....

It's totally going to be a sleeper hit since it actually brings something new to the table in an otherwise sleeping industry. Dual mouse controls is cool enough, doing it for wheelchair controls is just brilliant and using gyro for shots makes it perfect. Should do a full wheelchair Paralympics game!

Seen on social the only people excited for this game is people who are in wheelchairs or disabled as its some form of representation?

From my general view it doesn't look fun to play

Literally looks like a student project or something you'd see coming out of some game jam.
It's almost like they were done prototyping it with the placeholder assets and then just went "fuck it, let's just release it like this".

I'm one of the biggest Switch 2 simps I know (yes, even after yesterday, give me monke) and I tell you this: it looks like a chinese Steam asset flip copy of Rocket League that would sell for 0.99e and have 1000 achievements

Why do you think it is woke? Is it really woke to have a gamer who is not in a wheelchair play a character in a wheelchair?

I want Answer Nintendo. Who the F&%$ thought this was a good enough idea to Greenlight a project!?

Good god…what a disaster! We thought pokemon scarlet and violet was a disaster. Nintendo said "hold my beer".

I don't think anyone thought a game where you control a vehicle hitting a ball into a net would be great either so I'll hold off on judging it for now.
