It's a not a private forum so you can do anything you want. It's a bit hypocritical of the sites existence to suggest otherwise. In the event someone grabs your post from a community thread you seem as "private", you're out of line because it's a public forum at that point. You don't have much ground to stand on.
I occasionally lurk animegaf and lgbtqgaf but I very rarely post. I feel like if I want to be part of that community I'd have to post a lot more and me not that kind of orc. Also my sex life is nonexistent and I don't watch much animu :c
Again, it's not about rules, it's about courtesy. There's a similar thing w/ Twitter - Twitter is technically an open space, but that doesn't mean that you can (or more specifically should), for instance, retweet them against their wishes.
NHL GAF is welcoming!
...
Unless you're a Jets, Coyotes, or Kings fan
Fuck the Jeyotings!
To answer OP, no I don't think it is.
I sort of don't understand the sea-lion comic. To me it seems like that sea-lion is acting like a dick so does that make me racist? I like sea-lions but that particular specimen acted rudely no matter how well-spoken he was. And I'm 100% talking about the comic, any other connections to gaf are unknown to me. If someone acted like that I'd be bummed out.
It's not meant to be an allegory for racism despite the woman being "racist" in not liking sea lions; sea lions, in this case, are just an opinion that happen to be personified by their likeness. It's criticizing the "super persistent predator" types that'll keep haggling people over their opinions asking for some kind of objective backing behind them even though they're, well, opinions. For example:
Person 1: Halo's alright, but I really hated Halo 3.
Person 2: Why is that?
Person 1: I don't know, man, it just didn't click with me. Didn't feel right.
Person 2: Can you provide some grounded evidence in your favor? There's no reason for you to dislike it.
And so on and so forth.

Also, the LGBT+ thread can turn sour pretty quick when people get salty over someone else's personal life choices.
I haven't cheated recently. If I had, however, it would be nothing more than a case of not batting an eyelid, a shrug of the shoulders, and getting on with life.
People getting so bent out of shape over sex with someone who isn't your SO. Mistakes happen, folks, get over it. The urge to be desired and have intimacy is part of human nature. If your SO is away, and those urges rear their heads, and you're intoxicated, then you will do what must be done to fuel those urges.
Happens in MMA threads all the time. Enter an MMA thread recently to talk about fights and fighters, get accused of transmisogyny.
But did I get salty? No. I stated my opinion on cheating. Not once did I vindicate others for their past decisions to not cheat, yet literally everyone jumped on me for clarifying my choice. It's pretty ridiculous.
Nicely done given the context of this thread.
Biforce is a very passive aggressive and dramatic poster, he used up all his goodwill in Britgaf (where he was treated very well until the end, to the point where he was lent money by one user) and it looks like he's done the same with LGBT gaf :/ . Just too sensitive.
That's why you should never post OT on gaming sidenot everything is a game. some people want to treat this like actual human interaction (that they learned by watching movies).
Don't tell the Black Culture thread but I am secretly a white man gathering information to share with my other melanin deficient brethren.

You don't look like Jado.
"transmisogyny"
What an interesting word to sound out.
Let alone spell. My spellcheck definitely doesn't like it.
