So, we all know the story, and I would guess that most of us know that they played Matts entrance music/video on Raw last week.. which leaves us with one of two options, they are teasing it to set up a Summerslam match or they are trying to piss off Matt Hardy.

Matt is about to have his 90 day contract end, and will most likely head to TNA. The WWE has a habbit of letting people go as they are about to return from injury to maximize the amount of time they are off camera before going to another promotion. Why do you then go ahead and pimp Hardy at the ECW PPV, then run a video for him on Raw. The fans have been chanting for him for months, and WWE has recently taken to muting the fans when they start it. Why push it under the rug only to give him so much exposure a few weeks later? Sure, it probably would piss him off, but I dont think Vince is petty enough to give TNA free ad space.

Now for the spoilers..
JBL went to Teddys office to see who the draft pick will be... Teddy wouldnt tell him, so he asked for his initials.. MH. Supposedly the crowd went fucking nuts thinking it was Hardy.. turned out to be Hassan later.. but why give Hardy another mention on national TV (though this time far less obvious) in the same week?

Hardy has yet to comment on any of this on his website, which is odd because he normally posts as soon as something happens. and its been over two days since the Raw deal and still no word from mattitue.

Im sure its just my inner version 1 mark coming out, but Im really getting a vibe that he is coming back. Vince may hold a grudge, but even he cant deny that Hardy is over with the crowd right now, and an Edge/Hardy Summerslam HITC, Hardcore or TLC match would make insane amounts of money.

I'd rather see him end up doing TNA and RoH. After watching One Night Stand, the last few good TNA ppvs (Lockdown, Slammiversary), and going back and watching some of my favorite ECW ppvs (Heatwave 98, Guilty as Charged 99), I have a really hard time sitting through Raw or Smackdown. It has reminded how good wrestling was, and can be... And lets face it, WWE sucks. It's the same shit every week. Same promos cut every week, same boring roiding wrestlers being pushed, and the same stale wrestling (if you can call it that) week after week. If I didn't have my Tivo to fast forward through 75% of Raw and Smackdown I wouldn't even bother watching. I hate to see talent going to waste in WWE. Glad Samoa Joe signed with TNA. Too bad about CM Punk though =/

DON'T DO IT MATT.

I'M BREAKING MY SILENCE

Greeting my amigos! I hope this post finds you all healthy and happy. I'm just coming in from hanging in my hot-tub and enjoying a couple of Sprite and vodkas. I've had an amazing few days and I am ecstatic about my future. I want to thank everyone who has been supportive and believes in me--you mean so much more to me than you'll ever know. Wherever I end up in the future, I just want you guys to stick with me and continue to believe in me. I promise I won't let you down. I will prove that nice guys do finish first. I will prove that anything is possible if you work hard enough for it.

I believe that sometimes to become the power, you have to fight the power. I am a firm subscriber of standing up for what's right and what you believe in. At my angelicdiablo@earthlink.net e-mail address, I average about 500 e-mails a day. Out of those, maybe one person will criticize my straight-forward, honest, open-book attitude towards life. People relate to me--because everyone has been screwed over at some point in their life--but not everyone has the heart or outlet to stand up for themselves. Don't run over people, but definitely don't let people run over you. I also believe in what goes around comes around, you reap what you sow. I promise I will come out of this situation better than ever. I refuse to--and always have--to be denied. I'm motivated by all the incredible support and love I've had backing me up from day one. I'm also motivated to make the non-believers eat their words. Matt Hardy's time is coming--our time is coming. Eternal thanks and be well...

Matt

P.S. - That was a hell of a reaction I got in Phoenix, Arizona, considering I was in North Carolina--gotta love those MFer's.

Sounds like its a done deal to me, he sounds really happy about the whole thing, and he has been pissed beyond belief every time they do something directed at him or the situation.. He didnt mention any names, didnt say WWE, didnt say Amy, didnt say Lita, didnt say Edge, didnt say Adam, didnt say TNA, ROH.. in the past he has been very straitforward and candid about whats going on... he could be pretending to be happy about it to show the WWE it isnt bothering him, but keeping his mouth shut doesnt seem to be a strong suit.

Mattitude is coming back.. the real question is when? Does he show up at Vengence to screw Edge?

I would love Matt back in WWE!

Reason: I cant watch Regular ROH!

I am gonna buy Vengance as it is stuffed with fantastic matches and I hope Hardy shows up!

I would love if the lights went off during Edges match and then tuned back on and he was in the ring :)

If he's gonna go back to the land of 20 minute promos and 7 minute shitfests he should atleast make them sweat until the end of August.

Matt Hardy is like a younger version of the Ultimate Warrior on his website.

this I have to agree with. Seriously, that website got him in trouble before he got hurt (more or less told everyone he was gone after Summerslam), he got into trouble for not being kayfabe on it at all (calling out some guy from 411 in a series of open letters), then talking shit about Lita and Edge on the same website got him fired.

Not saying it was right that he be fired, just saying if you need to bitch about something that might cost you your job, do it with friends, not on a website... but he is also the biggest fan of the IWC in alot of ways, and has certainly molded his charachter based on response to it.

My bet is this: Matt shows up at Vengence and screws Edge. Edge and Matt sign a contract to a Summerslam match on Monday, big brawl breaks out. Matt is traded to SD so they get them off the same show.. do the needed run ins to build towards Summerslam, have their big match and then Matt will quickly be shuffled back down to the undercard.

Why do you have to fantasy book every single time you talk about wrestling?

I'd like to see them end this storyline by having Matt return, screw over Edge at the PPV, but then also screw over Kane (now a "monster" again, anyway, so he doesn't have to be a face) for what he did, finally ending it by doing something to Lita.

Oh, and have Matt take Edge's briefcase, or at least the contract "inside." Make it so that Edge never sighned it and that Matt put his name down instead.

I dont allways do it, but I enjoy it. Its not like it hurts anything.. good booking is what makes wrestling fun.. I mean it helps if someone can wrestle, but good booking can make Andre vs. Hogan sound like a good idea. Most of the time I do it as a rant when the product being put on TV sucks, but its been really good lately, so less fantasy booking.

WWE's product has been really good lately? Which WWE are you watching?

I think the build to the last two PPV's was really strong, and more than anything else, it has felt really fresh.

Why do you have to be such a negative asshat everytime you talk about wrestling?

Leave the guy alone, half the fun of being a wrestling fan is booking it better than Vince.

pwinsider is running Matt Hardy stuff.. as the story goes WWE had contacted Matt prior to the Wedding angle was run (i.e. the Matt Hardy video hitting)... to tell him not to sign with TNA and to let them make an offer.

Supposedly, Hardy can name his contract stips with any and everyone right now, 3K dollars for indie shows, probably much more for TNA or ROH... TNA is supposedly going to book a Hardy Boyz reuinion, have Triple J put Matt over, and give Matt a title run really soon into his signing.

Some people are suggesting that Matt and the WWE have a deal all but worked out.. but if Matt doesnt go to TNA Jeff may not have a job anymore.. so Matt might be demanding a contract for Jeff as well if a WWE return were in order.

PWinsider is basically painting a very rosey picture for Matt.. more or less stating he is far and away the hottest property out there right now. Part of me wants to see Matt get back to the WWE (and I think he will), but I also have a feeling he will get a big push initially, they will run the Hardy/Edge thing into the ground from now till Mania, and then he will be back in the undercard. He is only going to have this kind of fan support to cash in on once though, and if he chooses to cash it in with TNA or ROH there will be less money and financial insecurity (esp. TNA)

God damn it I wish TNA would hurry up and get TV deal. That might actually convince him not to sell his soul back to Vince. Where after a fued that last a month or two he'll be fighting for TV time with a bunch of cookie cutter skanks and roided up bums who couldnt produce even an average match if their lives depended on it.

Found this on Rajah:

Matt Hardy posted the following on his forum:

"Greetings Amigos!

I hope this message finds everyone healthy and happy. Recently, it seems that alot of people are discussing several different possible scenarios in my future. There’s a ton of speculation about everything concerning Matt Hardy these days–but I want all of my fans and supporters to know that I have always been honest with them. With that said, I have a hypothetical question for everyone. In a perfect world, where do you wish Matt Hardy would end up wrestling in the future and why? If you respond, put some time and thought into your answer–I look forward to seeing what everyone says. Until then…

Matt"

:lol This reminds me of Bret Hart's site a few years ago when a poll question asked if we wanted to see him make a last appearance in a WWE ring or not (from what I recall it was overwhelmingly "yes"). I think Matt's in a similiar boat right now...he sees a great opportunity to return there, but he doesn't wanna feel like he's selling himself out or cheapening what's really taken place. It's a tough call.

If he can make more money in WWE, that is where he should go. This is about making money, about securing his future and I am not 100% sure TNA has a long-term future. Suck it up, go to WWE, make your money. Merchandise alone should make more money than what TNA or ROH can pay him.

With the kind of merchandise the Hardy Boys were pushing he should already be set then. Next to Stone Cold and th Rock they were the hottest thing the WWE. Within a few years though he was burried and then treated like an expendable piece of shit. Thats some real job security there.

But since TNA doesnt have a solid TV deal in place I cant really blame the guy for going back.

I just hope he goes through with his ROH commitments first. Who know he might not even be able to cut in ROH anyway. Jeff certainly couldnt. :D

Charlie Villanueva is thoroughly confounded by this question.

Sorry Shinobi, I just had to do it :D

Seriously, I really don't know what Matt should do. If TNA doesn't come up with a TV deal, he's not really gonna be able to showcase his talents or make as much money as he would in WWE. But there is no doubt that WWE is gonna throw him in a fued with Edge for 3-4 months and them stick him in the basement, in matches with Chris Masters and the Big Show.

*sigh*

As of this week, sources in the cable industry are indicating that an announcement regarding a deal between TNA Wrestling and Spike TV is expected very soon. Nothing has been officially signed between both parties yet and a press release has yet to be issued from Spike. However, talks are moving in a positive direction.

Earlier reports stated that a Saturday night timeslot at 11pm ET/10pm CT would be more likely, essentially replacing WWE Velocity in the fall. From what is understood at this time, neither TNA or Spike TV want to make an official announcement in regards to a timeslot too early. The reason for this is that some feel WWE and the USA Network would take the advantage to counter-program on Saturday night as well and run a more competitive show instead of a basic recap show of both brands.

If we already know about this, I imagine Vinnie Mac and co are already on the case.
