Is there a really good MP3 Organizer out there?

you don't need no stinking organizer. all you need are folders.

here's a tip for you:

right click > properties > summary > advanced

now fill in the blanks.

have fun.

$50/hour, but no kissing on the lips and colors must be pre-separated

Something that's like....dependable and actually not going to screw up any my prized posession?

Grr. You people sometimes. This is you avatar properly resized and saved as something other than a bitmap. I call it a JPEG. Feel free to throw in in your Imagebucket collection. I do this on behalf of dialup users the world around! 10KB > 74KB in GAF-math.

Also, I second the folder idea. It'll apply universally and makes managing them alot easier in the long run, it's what I do...

Thanks for the fixed avatar.

I do keep everything in folders, its just that some of my songs in my Kazaa folder are doubles...triples.....without even a band name in the filename. I need to like...ID3 tag all these suckers and it'll take forever.

use a tag renamer. I use Tag&rename, and it helped me a lot.

You can tag based on filename
You can name files based on tags

And, you can name files and create folders based on tags. So I had it trawl through all the My Music folder, and rename the files based on "Artist\Album\track number - song title.mp3"

That was 90% of the work. The rest was getting some obscure stuff that wasn't tagged properly.

WMP9 and 10 wil organise your MP3s like no other, if you let it rip them from your CDs. It will create complete ID tags, organise folders by artist, then subfolders within with albums, and include album cover jpg in the folder.

The quality of MP3 rips are damn good as well, and it does it so damn fast too. I'm about to re-rip all my CDs via WMP10, since I just have a messy folder full of MP3s.
