My favorite picks from the polls (Yes / No percentages):

  • Should National Parks continue to be preserved and protected by the federal government? 95 / 5.
  • Should the United States require labeling of genetically engineered foods? 81 / 18.
  • Do you support the Trans-Pacific Partnership? 39 / 61.
  • Should Wall Street executives be criminally charged for their roles in the 2008 subprime mortgage crisis? 78 / 22.
  • Do you believe labor unions help or hurt the economy? 63 / 37.
  • Should companies be required to provide full-time employees with paid leave for the birth of a child or sick family member? 77 / 23.
  • Do you support the legalization of Marijuana? 70 / 30.
  • Should terminally ill patients be allowed to end their lives via assisted suicide? 76 / 24.
  • What is your stance on abortion (Pro-choice / Pro-life)? 63 / 37.
  • Should the government raise the retirement age for Social Security? 26 / 68.
  • Should every person purchasing a gun be required to pass a criminal and public safety background check? 92 / 8.

Still wouldn't vote for him though, his internet fanboys are annoying.

Everyone thinks the opposition's supporters are annoying. As evidenced by my gut reaction when you and all the other turkeys post something silly like that.

Right. I find Hillary supporters to be a bit insufferable at times but that's generalizing all supporters which is a silly thing to do and it has nothing to do with Hillary herself so of course I'll vote for her if it comes to that regardless of who else may or may not support her.

My highest match was Trump 78%. Highest democratic match was Hilary 69%.

Is it weird that I apparently agree with so heavily with 2 completely polar opposite candidates?

Oh god I got Hilary!!!!!!

Trump in second place.

I guess my strong strong stance against guns got me over the democratic line and my immigration views borders the line

The real kick in the pants is the fact that I'm not voting for any of the Republicans. I'm third party. I really don't know how the results are weighed. I chose the strictest of gun control answers (background check, psych test, etc,) since an outright ban won't happen. The results listed Hillary and Sanders at above 50% also.

I have no idea how they are weighed, but off the top of my head, one sensible way to do it would be to have the candidates answer for each question encoded into the system, then do a difference of squares. For example if I choose 4 and candidate chooses 1, then that's (4 - 1)^2 = 9. Add all of these differences up for every question and for every candidate and divide sum of squares of maximum values on each score. In the simplest possible case, assume there are two questions, and in each one you can choose a value from 0-4. Candidate chose 1, 3 and I choose 0, 4. Then the similarity is 1 - [(0-1)^2 + (4-3)^2]/(4^2 + 4^2) = 93.7%

UK here, just took the test and got 97% for Sanders.

Now I'm curious to go back and retake the test answering every question with the most selfish, racist, insensitive, misogynistic (etc.) answer available. I wonder if I'd get 100% Trump?

So...I'm Canadian and I wanted to take the quiz again for fun and I just noticed this at the top lol...

I clicked it, and it's just like searching recursion in Google.

Maybe not Trump but you'd definitely get a Republican.

I mean no disrespect to Republicans here but it's just sort of the way it is.

Not pictured: Huckabee, who I sided with for 54 percent! Higher than any other Republican. That was surprising -- looking at the answer comparisons, he's much more progressive on a lot of fronts than he ever lets on.

Also a bit surprised at how highly I ranked with Trump, but that's likely because of the emphasis on campaign finance reform and no questions on the ethics of branding Muslim Americans.
