It's not officially summer until the young female office workers around where I live start wearing their stunning 'business casual/hooker' outfits. SO FUCKING HAWT. Every time it gets warm and the admin hotties first wear the miniskirt-skin tight shirt combos that have the old guys gasping for air I know it's finally summer.

I'm at finals week right now. All of my classes gave the final on the last day of class before finals week. I'm sitting at the computer naked!

Slacking off is not attending class for the last three weeks before a final and then going to the final without studying a single time and making up crap as your answers, seeing how creative you can be with the responses since you don't have a fricking clue as what to put otherwise.olimario said:

Its been summer for over a week for me.Unless you get a lot better, he's right.
I had a 4.0 until my Junior year. The % of dumbfucks gets lower and lower each year and getting As gets harder when there's only 15 people in the class versus 300+ your freshmen year. Teachers can get worse, and you won't have that buffer of dumb people to guarantee you a high grade. I had a circuits/diodes course with a woman that just graduated from China. I couldn't understand anything, the book was terrible, and she wouldn't post notes online (had trouble jotting them down in class).
She had some makeup test for people that screwed up royally on the midterm. Some of the questions were near the same on the final, and that screwed me over to a B+.
Just saying if you don't get As your first year when everything is easy going, then I doubt you'll improve your GPA much.
One of my friends had a 3.9+ until his Junior year, now it's down to around 3.5-6 I think.

My GPA's gone up from last year to this year. But yeah, if your effort is constant between years (unlike mine), it makes some sense that your marks would become lower as the retards are weeded out.
Still, at least at my school, the % of As, etc. awarded increases as you go from 100 to 400 level courses.

The real key is to stay high through your first couple of years so that as you get closer to that "let's drink 5 nights a week" final senior semester you can afford to slack. There's nothing better than having your buddy call you up on a Wednesday and saying "Yeah, I have a test tomorrow, but I know this shit... let's go" because suddenly getting Cs is A-OK. I swear, the senior motto around here seems to be "Cs get degrees".
I've been done for a week and a half now...and, you're not alone Olimario, I'd consider a 3.6 slacking off too. Hell, I still can't stand getting "A-"s. It's a really bad quality to have, however, and it's never much fun.
Ended up with a 3.9 due to a shocking A in Spanish that came out of nowhere...I was sitting with an A- on Tests, which was like 50% of the course...and yet somehow I get an A on a final exam I had little confidence about while writing it. It's funny how marks can surprise you like that.
Recovered from a slack First Term in a full-year course to turn an A- into an A, managed a slim A in my English course after a couple of weak papers, and completed what might well be the easiest class I've ever taken, the 2nd Half of Intro Psych, with an A+...which counts the same as an A, so it just looks good and nothing more. Bastards.
It's Summer alright...and the job starts Monday. So much for relaxation.
