"Europa Universalis II", "Disciples II: Dark Prophecy" and "Jagged Alliance 2: Gold Pack" will be coming to the DS this year, courtesy of Pocket PC studios. Europe Universalis is a port of the popular real-time strategy title already on PC, which lets you lead over a hundred nations into war across Europe.

Next up is Disciples II: Dark Prophecy, where gamers are taken to the magical realm of the Sacred Lands and it's four races - the Empire, the Mountain Clans, the Legions of the Damned and the Undead Hordes who battle for the destiny of their Gods. "A decade after the First Great War, the final prophecy continues to unfold. Deep within the crevices of the Sacred Lands, the Chosen One has emerged, fated to bring salvation to some and destruction to others. Braced with renewed faith and newfound conviction, each race must once again take up the sword for the sake of their people and the glory of their God."

Finally, Jagged Alliance 2: Gold Pack, which Pocket PC says features "the wildly popular strategy title Jagged Alliance 2 and its mini-sequel, Unfinished Business for hours and hours of gameplay. Featuring an enhanced version of Jagged Alliance 2, Jagged Alliance 2: Gold Pack immerses you into an elaborate role-playing universe where you will interact with more than 150 characters, recruit your own band of soldiers and create your own custom mercenary to win back Arulco (a small country of which has been taken over by a merciless dictator) not once, but twice! The perfect blend of strategy, role playing and tactical combat!"

Disciples II for the DS?! AND Jagged Alliance 2?! Dammmn.

Disciples II rocks. JA2 is ok, but I'm not as big of a fan of it as a certain GAF resident.

I want to see how Disciples II turns out for DS. I probably won't buy it 'cause I have the PC version of Disciples II but this is pretty cool nonetheless.

Holy shit! This is awesome! JA2 is THE best tactical (pseudo-)RPG ever!
I hope these two games are the first of many classic PC games to be ported to the DS. I guess the touchscreen has its uses after all.

Disciples is great stuff, I need to play JA. Lots of good software, looks like I'll have to buy a DS. I'm strapped for cash this year though, so I'll likely wait for a price drop.

You don't need a power PC to run Disciples II, and unless you absolutely need it on the go I'd recommend this PC version:

30 bucks. Includes the game and all of the expansions. The game is a mix of turn based movement on a big map but then it switches to a battle screen for fights. Like Fire Emblem. That's very simple explanation, as the game is a little more in depth than FE, but it is relatively close to what you may be familiar with.

Disciples 2! I loved this game, somehow I have time for these games on the go!

Patrick Lambert is the guy behind the artwork of this game and I really loved what he did. He's now at Ubisoft where he did the art for POP:WW.

I love Jagged Alliance 2. I already own the Gold Pack for my PC so I won't be picking this up but if you haven't given it a try, just get it!! This is my number one Desert Island game and it boggles my mind that there aren't more games like it (yeah, yeah Silent Storm is cool and all but it's not the total package that JA2 is IMO)

It actually WAS at E3, check the link I posted. Hopefully someone remembered to get impressions of it.. if not... get on it ASAP!

EDIT:Maybe not, link doesn't specify, but it's an E3 press release so hopefully someone actually saw it. Probably got overlooked because it was a PPC developer.
