I see no reason why they are so coy about continuing Indys adventures UNLESS it is with a different character altogether.

Well that's just a case of different actors playing Indiana Jones while he was very young.

Especially at that time they did not have the technology to deage someone especially deage someone to when they were a teenager or younger.

So it's understandable in that case.

So, in this case Harrison Ford is a sacred cow to this series but they're going to have to go the expanded universe route and someone's going to take his hat up so to speak.

Personally, I'd love to see Chris Pratt in an expanded universe role. There's actually pictures of Chris Pratt photoshopped with Indiana Jones clothes and he looks very much like Harrison Ford in his day.

Coincidentally, I started watching one of Doomcock's videos today -- I didn't know who this person was before at all.

The little cunt is going hard on click-baiting. He really sounds like he put some buzz words in an AI text generator (trending ChatGPT could be a good candidate for him to continue producing this shit tier content) and made a video just reading out the nonsensical output word vomit.

I swear he was talking for 4 or 5 minutes straight, saying nothing at all really other than repeating "this thing is woke shit" every 10 sentences. I tapped out after that, there's only so much drivel I can take -- even if I do get the occasional chuckle from stuff calling out woke "agendas" in films and series, even when they're overreacting or are way off mark.

So, even though I don't have high hopes for a quality Indiana Jones sequel, at least I'm willing to give the director of the film the benefit of the doubt.

The Indiana Jones' stories work only with this character at their center anyway. Disney has already licensed an Indy game (which most likely will play like a Tomb Raider/Uncharted mashup) and it's not like they can't do animated stuff or revisit the "early years" nonsense either if they really want to keep milking the cow.

Yeah although I think they're going to go the expanded universe route or whatever you want to call it. Spin-off I guess would be the best term because they're already talking about more movies and TV shows and since Harrison Ford said this is his last Indiana Jones movie, it's more than likely these will be spin-offs that will take place in the world of Indiana Jones.

Depending on how they pull it off, it might be okay. I wouldn't mind seeing Chris Pratt as a grandson taking up the hat or maybe some kind of prequel like exploring the Abner Ravenwood character who was Indiana Jones's mentor.

Im not a massive indy guy but ill probably give this a watch. This dumb ideological warfare surrounding all these movies is far more annoying than the movies usually are. At worst it will be a lame movie. At best it will be a memorable and fun send off for the character. But this franchise WILL live on past those who grew up with it. Most franchises will, as long as there's still money to be made and appeal to be had. I think a lot more people need to start accepting that inevitability.
