That's all I'll be needing. Maybe with a side order of Mercenaries.

I'll also be picking up The Minish Cap. I preordered it at work, to help boost numbers. If I'd've known I'd be getting a $25 GC from my cousin for Best Buy, I would have rather purchased it there.

I'll buy Getaway and Punisher, rent Mercenaries. Something about that game is a bit "floaty" for my tastes...

Resident Evil 4 (just reserved it last night but got no demo..grrr) and Zelda The Minish Cap (Don't even have a GBA or DS at the moment but I do still have my GB Player so I'm treating this as a console release!) are definite purchases for me. I like the Mercenaries demo, so I'll probably get that as well.

Not sure about The Getaway yet.

Oh, and Virtua Quest deserves this: :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol :lol WAY TO RELEASE ANOTHER GAME THAT WILL BOMB SEGA

Good choice.

I would be doing that, but I think the game will stay in the DS, and then switch over to the SP when that needs charging (alternating each time one or the other dies out).

We had a demo at work that I wanted to check out, but this little kid kept wiping his nose and playing the game. Fucking prick.

Yes, I'll be getting Minish Cap as well.

Any reason why RE4 would be a buy over a rent (double), besides being a fan of the series? They're generally under 15 hours, no? Any extra incentive placed in this one for multiple plays?

Damn, I wish the Punisher demo was a little more convincing in the latests OXM disc. Not that it's bad, but it's merely competent. Still some fun to be had blowing folks away as Frank Castle, but I don't know if I'll run out and get it upon release..

I'll admit that I've tried it out via...other means, but I'm forcing myself to wait for the U.S. release. It really should have come out this year. :\

That's disgusting about the kid. Where I work, we just have one old kiosk we usually put a PS2 into with a fighting game and have two PSX pads plugged into it. I don't touch them until after I spray them down with cleaning fluids. (There's not even a system hooked into the kiosk right now and idiots keep walking up to it, grabbing the controllers and furiously mashing buttons to see if it "starts up." Some even ask WHY it's not working. Shouldn't it be obvious when the TV is off and there's NO FUCKING SYSTEM PLUGGED INTO THE MACHINE? :))

Probably not. The game was kinda difficult in the E3 demo, though. Wonder if it'll be longer than the rest?

No. Although keep away from Sound of Thunder and Ice Nine. They are atrocious.
I planned to. The three other titles mentioned out number the console titles, RE4 and Suikoden IV, that interest me.

I am not an anime fan, I have no idea what FMA is. I might change my mind upon playing it.

I hope Banjo Pilot turns out ok. But I don't have high hopes, really. Racing Gears Advance is fun and Minish Cap is beyond awesome.

Um. Still the ones I listed above. I'm fickle, but I'm not that fickle.
Alright, just checking.
I'm blind, but you already knew that.

Anyway, barring Zelda, I consider this a poor month for must-buys, though there are several games that I'd consider.

Can anyone tell me anything much about FMA? I know nothing about the anime but the videos looked really cool. Seemed like it might be a fun action game.

Agreed, look what happened to NG.

Yeah it got beat out by only halo 2 in virtually every list. It held extremely high in the biggest release year ever despite being released in March. Not bad I would say.

For January it is RE4 and Minish Cap for me. MAYBE oddsworld but I'm still going to have to rent it first.

When they delayed RE4 I thought they were delaying it to March or so. Why in God's name are they releasing it in January? Surely it would have put up better numbers in Nov/Dec than they'll likely get in a typically dreadful month for game sales.

Every IGN list?

I thought it got snubbed on other sites.
