Can't believe you marks ate up that Jericho shit last night.

Was hoping this thread would have come to its senses after sleeping on it. Obviously not.

I don't know...I thought it was funny: The exaggerated smiling and pandering. The crowd manipulation.

I like that the WWE.com promo is more of the same: Smiling Jericho with his cool, light-up jacket.

It's the smile.

yeah during the last run he basically never smiled.

Something just occurred to me about the Jericho return.

His trollface, sparkle jacket, and "Oh yeah!"-ing were so mind bottling that it made me totally forget the creepy kid promos and the god damn earthquake powers he used.
What the fuck does anything mean.

Watching the promo again, the shaky cam right before the lights go out is such a brilliant touch. It's such a perfect parody of all the big returns, I don't know how the WWE is going to seriously be able to have Undertaker have one of his normal comebacks now.

I'd make a comment about you NBA-style but you frontrun and probably have 3-4 teams, so to me the situation is like Michael Cole and a divas match:

Not worth the effort to talk about.

I ain't gonna let that fly. You know damn well I'm a Magic fan.

You and your Knicks are a bigger flop than Sin Cara.

It was awesome, I just wished they dimmed the lights a little but the shaky cam shit was brilliant. Who ever made those decisions on last nights show is a god damn Dr. of something!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For Undertaker they're going to have to do the opposite: No shaky cam, no silence and dimming of lights. There will be a match on and Undertaker in regular clothes will just walk out mid match.

-- Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole were advertised locally to wrestle last night, but after the show ended Cole said no, I can't do that, there is a hole in the ring. So John Cena said you aren't having a wrestling match, you're having a streetfight, which actually was what the match was billed as being. Lawler completely destroyed him, including ripping his pants off and giving him the piledriver, which he's not allowed to use on TV. People enjoyed it, aside from the Michael Cole in his underwear part.

-- Smackdown has two title matches this week in part due to the loss of Randy Orton from the show.

-- I know it's a running joke now, but as of yesterday the plan was to hold off Brodus Clay until Royal Rumble.

-- Happy 60th birthday to Jim Ross.

-- Goofy comment of the day from Matt Jackson of the Young Bucks, aka Generation Me:

"It's funny how everyone on the dirt sheets get so mad about unprotected chair shots. They say its to dangerous to the head. It's to dangerous to the head?! Obviously. But if you guys were so worried you should be more worried about a normal back bump. Falling on the mat from any type of impact is like a small car crash. R heads bounce from the mat and it's extremely more dangerous. Should we stop taking back bumps than? In my opinion it's the same impact to the head. I should know because I've taken both before. But I've never gotten a concussion from chair shots. They've mostly been from bumps on the ring mat. Everything in wrestling is dangerous. If ppl were really concerned about us wrestlers health, than wrestling all together would be banned."

If you NWA fans are interested, I majorly updated the OP in the NWA thread with everyone's pictures and newly added people to the Roster (Eradicoil and Heavy).

And I just posted the cards for the Dimension of the Slammed PPV tomorrow. It's time for me to step toe to toe with those PCW guys

Lol at a failed fat ass fucking wrestler with his snarky comments. Better keep typing long winded columns alvarez while your roliie pollie fingers are still small enough to type.

That chair shot comment is pretty stupid. Blunt trauma to the skull from a steel chair is as bad as a back bump? Right...

You figure a guy taking a back drop gets about eight or nine feet in the air and if he doesn't land right that's a good jolt to the back of your head when it slams into the mat. I can totally see what he's talking about, but unprotected chair shots just seem really dumb. I know Steen and Corino have said they are safer then people say and they wouldn't have done them if they didn't feel safe but I just can't get behind it. I don't think these guy's need to make it any tougher on themselves especially if the fans are saying we don't want it.

From what I've seen of Alvarez he is very skinny(from the one match I saw) and I don't think all that healthy, it's very likely he doesn't have the muscles trained to prevent injury and have more control of his body when taking a back bump.

Still, to me it just doesn't equate to being as bad as someone smashing a chair into your head, like Rock smashing Foley with the chair in the I quit match.

A bit of an odd topic but from him talking on the Observer shows he actually seems like hes really into healthy food and exercise. On the christmas Bryan and Vinny show Vinny was reading out the ingredients of some health bars he had gotten in.
