and are actually releasing a whole album of MomoClo covers (edit: guess it was released in December).

We know those guys are fanboys and the gesture is appreciated but it would almost be better if they handled songs that weren't so wild sounding already. MomoClo's already got an alternative sound so the transformation isn't huge.

One of my favorite bands.
Takeshi Hosomi's voice... Flawless.
You should listen to Ellegarden. It's not really the same kind of band but Hosomi's vocals were also excellent.

As usual I forgot some stuff from 2012.

Shugo Takamura's In focus?, Noda Map's err I mean Ichigo Ichige's Strawberry Poison, group_inou's Day and Parakeet's Shonen Hearts are all amazing. I would include them in my list.

btw Ichigo Ichige isn't a band that album is the OST of a play of that name if I am not mistaken. The music on it just happens to have Shiina Ringo doing some of the vocals and is generally amazing

Recent Perfume has been somewhat disappointing, but anything Nakata touches is practically gold so it's still all good. Even though it seems like he's focusing on Kyary for the time being, I really hopes he drops another Perfume/Capsule album this year.

Spending All My Time was kind of disappointing but JPN might be my favourite album by Perfume (if not my favourite pop album in recent years).
We might get a new album this year, JPN came out in 2011 and we already have two singles (and a third will be out in February). Who knows.

JPN was good but nothing beats Complete Best imo. Regardless, I'd be satisfied with anything that they put out soon. Didn't know about the new single in February though; hyped for that now.

Being major doesn't change anything though. Actually, I'm really happy when I hear that an indie band I like signs in a major company, they'll have more exposure.

Agree with you on that count, although me referring to indie these days is just a loose term. Most of the ''indie'' bands I tend to listen to are signed to major companies. I have nothing against Major artist or whetever.
and to be fair, the term ''indie'' is a loose term anyway, especially in the west. Most of those ''indie'' bands if not all of them are signed to major companies. I think ''indie'' today is releated to the style of music being played rather than the status.

Also, the first Majorr The Mirraz Album Sucked compared to the older ones, hope the new one is good, so far it seems to have a hope since on of thier songs have the word ''Fuck'' in its title :p

I quite enjoyed the Spending All my Time single, all 3 tracks were really good. Also there was a Capsule album last year so he isn't ignoring his other bands.

However, Ai's new single "voice"...not really liking it. Maybe it'll grow on me if I hear it more but was kinda disappointed when I first heard it.

I liked the last two songs you posted, definitely the last one. As for the first song, I couldn't really stand the guy's voice. It wasn't a bad song though.
