Ok, how about this: All 3 Rush Hours are shit. Terrible, lazy filmmaking that's elevated only because of the charisma of the lead actors.

And the score, but actually the first Rush Hour movie is legit good entertainment.

Also as much as people shit on Ratner. He does what the studio wants, and he's made serviceable films too. Not hard to understand why he still has a career. He hasn't actually made a film in years though.

Why is Brett Ratner still getting work

He shoots film on time, and has his production company, which has been involved with some major acclaimed movies recently, including a deal with WB.

It's not hard to see why he keeps getting work.

His last successful film was barely a decade ago. Also he's a very successful producer, so he probably has a lot of money too

I'm not much of a fan myself, but Ratner's not exactly dirt-poor, and probably has ways of getting the financing himself. The film being released through WB or something.
