Oh, the JASON BOURNE embargo is up? Okey dokey: it stinks.

(And this one hurts. Loved the first three and liked the fourth. Wanted this one to save the summer. Alas.)

Summer 2016 is gonna go down as one of the worst moviegoing seasons in recent memory. Not a single great blockbuster. Big budget sequels and rehashes nobody asked for, mediocre talking animal animated films, a fuckin' Tarzan movie...even Spielberg and the Greengrass/Damon combo couldn't save us.

God help us all

Swiss Army Man was dope. If you didn't see it you are part of the problem.

They should have brought Franka Potente back. The series drops like 2 letter grades as soon as she left.

It could be revealed that a secret government Treadstone brought her back to life, and trained her in secret to be really good at punching throats and driving in the wrong lane. And Matt Damon is in trouble probably. The Bourne Revelation. Classic 2016 movie.

Except it'll be called something different. Nachowedgie. Eastsocks. Nosehate. And he'll fight a bad dude who has a machete using only a phone charger cable. After running down the side of the Coliseum in Rome and getting away in a Fiat 500.

I'd have loved this to continue the quality of the first 3. I enjoyed Legacy though, and a mediocre Bourne will be decent filler at the very worst.

Shame, but hopefully not quite as bad as reviews suggest.

bought tickets for my dad for fathers day to see it with me thursday night. hope it doesn't disappoint, he's a massive fan of the original trilogy. reviews are looking meh, but i'm sure he'll still enjoy it.

I mean, what can you expect from a trailer with top class lines like 'we've been hacked, this could be worse than snowden'.

How's the action though?

This is what I expect, too. Paul Greengrass isn't afraid to bore an audience to death, but he doesn't make movies that are as offensively bad as Spectre. I eagerly anticipate watching this while folding laundry.

Right, I enjoyed Green Zone even if it wasn't their best work. I'm expecting something like that, with a tad more excitement.

Meh, I thought Spectre was fine.

Civil War and Nice Guys tho

Aren't the movies more or less the same?

"It's Jason Bourne!"

*Attempt to catch Bourne and his partner*

*Bourne evades capture and tells them to leave him alone*

*They leave him alone until they see him again*

Meh, up to 71% right now, so that's good. Still think I'll just add this to the "wait for bluray" list, like most of the movies this summer. For some reason knowing I get to keep the mediocrity forever makes the costs of seeing movies more palatable to me.

It's at 71% now.

The plot is nothing special unfortunately.

Matt Damon even went to Jonothan Nolan to come up with a plot, and he said there's nothing left to tell. Bournes story has been concluded in Ultimatum.

If this is Ultimatum part 2 with a weak plot and great action then I'm ok with it.

The trailers looked like every Borne movie. Random sneaking around shots, CIA like dudes looking at monitors "er mah gawd it's Bourne". Random parkoor and explosions.

Civil War and Nice Guys tho

Civil War wasn't summertime.

There really hasn't been a huge blockbuster this summer. There have been some decent films but nothing has broken out financially, or even critically.

First week of May is start of summer movie season.

Though I just realized, The Nice Guys bombed, didn't it? Guess that would rule out blockbuster status, welp.
