Doesnt the first Jay & Silent Bob start with Jay singing about fucking bitches' pussies?

Jay: [singing] Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, / Mother, mother fuck, / Mother, mother fuck, fuck / Mother fuck, mother fuck, / Noise noise noise, / 1, 2, 1, 2, 3, 4, / Noise, noise noise / Smokin' weed, smokin' wizz, / Doin' coke, drinkin' beers, / Drinkin' beers, beers, beers, / Rollin' fattys, smokin' blunts, / Who smokes the blunts? / We smoke the blunts. / Rollin' blunts and smokin'...
Teen #2: Uh, let me get a nickel bag.
Jay: [singing] / Fifteen bucks, little man, / Put that shit in my hand, / If that money doesn't show, / Then you owe me, owe me, owe, / My jungle love, yeah, / Owe-ee, owe-ee, owe, / I think I want to know ya, know ya, / Yeah, what?
Teen #1: What the hell are you singing?
Jay: You don't know "Jungle Love?" That shit is the mad notes. Written by God herself and sent down to the greatest band in the world: The mother-fucking Time.
Teen #2: You mean the guys in that Prince movie?
[Silent Bob points to the two teens]
Teen #1: Yeah, Purple Rain.
Teen #2: Man, that shit was so gay - fucking eighties style.

Jay: All you motherfuckers are gonna pay. You are the ones who are the ball-lickers. We're gonna fuck your mothers while you watch and cry like little, whiny bitches. Once we get to Hollywood and find those Miramax fucks who is makin' the movie... we're gonna make them eat our shit, then shit out our shit, and then eat their shit that's made up of our shit that we made 'em eat. Then you're all you motherfucks are next. Love- Jay and Silent Bob.

[deleted scene]
Hooker #1: Hey, little man! You want some of this?
Hooker #2: How 'bout you, big boy?
Hooker #1: You got 50 bucks, we can get NASTY.
Jay: Oh, yeah? How nasty?
Hooker #2: As nasty as you want to be, papi.
Jay: Oh, all right. Well, first, I want you to tongue my bung, while you juggle my balls in one hand, and play with my asshole with the other, but don't stick you're finger in. Then I want to pinky you while I stick in your fuckin' friend's brown, while Silent Bob watches, and fuckin' spanks it in a Dixie cup. After that, I want to smell your titties for a while, and you can pull my nutsack up over my dick so it looks like a bullfrog. Then I want you to fuckin' flick my nuts while your friend spanks me off in the same Dixie cup that Silent Bob jizzed in. Then, we throw the Dixie cup out.
[stunned silence]
Hooker #1: Oh, that's it, honey! I quit! This job just passed the point of no return!
[both hookers leave]
Jay: What? You said "nasty"!
[to Silent Bob]
Jay: Man, chicks in Hollywood are so stuck-up.

It’s been so long, it probably does. It’s just been almost 20 years. Big difference between seeing something at age 25 and age 43 with 2 kids. You just get way more sensitive to it.

Movie was good and surprisingly heartfelt. You can tell Kevin Smith had a real epiphany after his near death experience.
It was pretty meh, and I have no idea if this was woke or anti woke.
The woke crowd would have an aneurysm during the KKK scene because they're depicted as regular (but silly) people. So no, it's not woke.

It was nice seeing Kevin approach the View Askewniverse again.

Noting great or really worthwhile of watching again, but certainly far better than what it could have been overall.

At least there weren't any sausage nazis or whatever the fuck his last movie had.

I loved it, but all it made me really hope for is Clerks 3! Now that Jeff Anderson is on board, this can finally happen!

Just a pile of self-serving, and self-indulgent shit.

I loved watching Kevin Smiths films growing up in the ‘90s but everything post-Dogma has been nothing but a disappointment and really show how Smith has failed to mature and develop as a filmmaker.

He just plays it way too safe and plays purely to his base and therefore is alienating normal film fans.

Smith is a natural raconteur and can be wonderful at spinning a yarn out for everyone to enjoy. This is not one of those cases.

That's the whole premise of the Viewaskewniverse, he also funded the movie himself and tours the country with it. He's very direct with the limitations of his directing skills and I think he's very happy with the nerd life he's made.

I didn't really care for this one even though I thought I would. The characters were funny when I was young and they were young and it was the 90s, but now I'm old and they're old and it's kind of cringey to see these old wrinkled guys doing the same shit they did 25 years ago. Plus, Brody was my favorite character in the whole damn viewaskewuniverse and in this movie he almost completely lacks that biting sharpness that I loved. I guess he grew up and so did I.

Just because he’s direct with his limited directing skills doesn’t mean I can criticise his film. My main issue is that he has never really developed as a director, with Dogma being the rare exception.

KS used to talk about a Jay & Silent Bob vs the classic monsters movie crossover, like those old Abbott & Costello flicks, that could still be interesting. But the characters feel so off now, Jay's mouth looks strange or something and KS being thin, they just don't feel like the same dudes they were in the movies that made them famous, and KS's woke writing is pretty cringe inducing.

My favorites are Chasing Amy, Dogma, and Clerks 2. Hell, I even enjoy Jersey Girl

Hes at his best when he's making these sorta heartfelt pieces and not just goofy whatever that he cant get enough of

I love Kevin, I really do, he was a big part of my childhood. But yeah, I'd love to see something more mature from the dude at this point apart from placating his fanbase or trying to keep up with the kids

Clerks 3 maybe lol

Yea Red State was good but then he did Tusk and Yoga Hosers and it was "oh"

Lol

Its gonna sound lame but I'd love to see him tackle something reflective of his age group. Like a stoner Annie Hall or something or that "This is 40" movie. Even Judd Apatow grew up and that was the dude riding Kev's bromance coattails for a second there

I was really baked and sort of enjoyed Tusk, I like thrillers like that and Michael Parks is great, but it's nothing to write home about. I haven't seen YH but it sounded pretty rough.

Honestly I don't think he has it in him to write a movie like that. Clerks 2 was his "these guys are 40" movie. He's way past his prime imo. He's a far better orator than he is a filmmaker imo. Smodcast was, for a time, some of the best comedy that man ever produced.

I guess I will give this a watch now that is on the internets.

So is it like B&T where its pretty lame, cheap, and throwing in 2 new "female" leads?

I second the post above that you can't go back and pretend at 50/60 you are still 25 making stoner jokes like its the 90's again.

The woke is strong in this flick, I forget most of the plotting but yes there are stronk female leads who are fond of criticizing our hetero cis male leads. To me it did feel cheap and lame, but KS's Askewniverse movies pretty much always feel cheap. The lame is new.
