bethesda cant make a proper rpg anymore , those days are gone , shallow rpg mechanics and poor writing is all they have now
Yep. Fallout 4 was mediocre. Fallout 76 - lol. Starfield - plain bad.

Chances of Fallout 5 being good are very low. And it's not going to appear for years if they recently fully greenlit it.

Anyone else ever notice that Jez puts out stupid bullshit like this whenever Microsoft PR is in a bad spot? Almost like it's his job to run interference for them.

After Fallout 4, they can keep it.

If Phil had any sense whatsoever, he would've given Fallout 5 to inXile and Obsidian as a joint project. He could've called that project "Black Isle" for good measure.

Fallout 5 should've been a priority when Microsoft originally acquired Bethesda. The IP has never been bigger and now it's gonna be 15 years between FO4 and 5 at the minimum.

Same thing with Elder Scrolls because Starfield was clearly a mistep for BGS

Shouldn't this have been the case 3 years ago?

Hell they announced Elder Scrolls with a jpg so why the hell not go full-retard with this as well.

By the time this thing actually releases we'll be on PS7 and xbox wont exist at all.

Lmao imagine being excited for another butchered entry…Another 5-10 years just for it to be inferior and another 'WoAh Le WaCKy WaSTelAnD'…HARD pass, especially if Emil Pagliagligaglilurlo is involved..

Of course, it says a lot that people can clearly see what he is and what he does yet he continues to act this way. Predictable .

Him, Parris etc are unofficial PR . They give themselves away with their behaviour time and again.

They are a disgrace in my opinion.

Amen amen

Both of them should have been at the very top of the priority. Both Fallout and Elder Scrolls are easily the two best franchises of all times where lots of people have over a thousand or thousands of hours on which no other single player game could do. Both games would sell better than their previous version.

Fallout is definitely much bigger now compared to Fallout 4 which was already huge and actually had a faster selling rate than Skyrim even back then. Boosting the hype with season 2 and season 3 which would most likely happen before Fallout 5 comes is a great way to do things.

I do believe they'll be coming faster than a lot of people expect. With the way Microsoft wants the focus on Fallout and by saying it's the big one. They probably got multiple teams doing it and if they put all their efforts into it than it's extremely likely Fallout 5 comes before 2030 on the next gen.

Elder Scrolls VI could also be released before Witcher 4 even if the latter was announced first. Since Todd usually release a game on the same year he does it's surprise announcement like with Skyrim.

So no new game to hype when the show came out and no new game to hype when season 2 of the show comes out. More money than sense.

Awesome, I'm sure my great grandkids will enjoy this when it releases in 2057.
What I was thinking when I read it... Game announcements are worthless these days.
Everyone know Bethesda will be working on TES6 until at the lead 2027 or probably longer. No chance Fallout 5 will even be remotely a thing until 2030.

Hopefully the AI version of Todd that's going to inevitably replace him at some point in the 20 years until this releases does a better job than the real Todd did with F4 and Starfield.

Im surprised we are hearing this today, and not before the series aired last year. Or should have been started when the series was greenlit by amazon. Cross promotion is key guys.

I just hope the quests get better. Some of them were like "Hey, go rescue my aunt from Factory 1." "Thanks! Oh, by the way, now my son was taken to Factory 1."

If it wasn't for the settlement mechanic I would have played it once and never replay it. Same goes with Fallout 76 (clocking over a thousand hours now). The plot matters very little to me.
