I gotta hand it to John Stewart, doing all these shows. These news people have to hate that this guy on comedy central is watched by more people than the "real" news people. Every time i see him on these shows they really go after him.

These guys are on full fucking damage control in the most contradictory ways.

So nice to see someone lay into the stupid manner in which the news networks attempt to discuss politics.
 
Another point..

John Stewart is right. These shows add nothing but noise to the political discussion. You never get at any real answers, and half the time its just crosstalk with people yelling over each other.
 
I've been watching Jon since he started on the daily show and i've never seen him this dedicated to his beliefs. this is great. he's totally fighting them off. they're trying to make this a joke interview, but he's there to talk serious. it makes them look like a joke and him look so much better.

damn man, jon stewart is the man. the bowtie dude, who was really good on bill maher 2 weeks ago, is a total idiot. jon stewart has the "common sense" most people need on the news. fucking aye, they cut him off!
 
That was awesome. It's obvious they weren't expecting Stewart to call them on what these types of shows are all about: partisan hacks bitching at each other for 30 minutes and leaving the audience less informed than when they tuned in. Wonder what they said to him during the break.

Yeah, I saw Tucker Carlson's segment on Maher's show, and though I typically can't stand the bow tie wearing moron, I actually had a better opinion of him after the interview. Unfortunately, he still continues to act (and look) like a total douche on Crossfire.

Sweet Jesus, I wish I could hear Jon talk serious every day. He's one of the few public/television personalities willing to cut through the bullshit either for comedic or intellectual purposes and really be candid. I love how these two idiots are just defending the hive.
 
BTW, it's kinda sad how it has to be career comedians like Bob Somerby and Jon Stewart who are disgusted by the irresponsible clowning in the media.

But c'mon, he's so fucking dead-on about the ridiculousness of the partison aspects to these political shows that's it's disgusting how people can defend it.

I need to go buy his America book.

Do they ever re-air Crossfire later in the day? If not, I hope someone puts up a video of this soon. Can't believe I missed it.

I caught the tail end. Man, that "dick" comment was priceless.

Jon Stewart just owned everybody on Crossfire. I've never seen someone go on one of these political circus shows and point out how worthless, how unheathly they truly are. He'll never be back on that show again. It's obvious the hosts were as pissed as they were befuddled, but in any case Jon was awesome +100000 Crossfire ownzored Tucker Carlson am crying ad nauseum DOUBLE FLAWLESS VICTORY!!!111!!!!!1!

I love how Carlson kept trying to hold Stewart to a journalistic standard on his Kerry interview. "Dude, our lead in show is puppets making prank phone calls."
 
Unfortunately Crossfire doesn't air again. No repeats.

I have the second half taped, but I have no way of getting it online, and the first segment was undoubtedly the most interesting.
 
If there's one already recorded, (which I bet tehre is one) expect it to be available for dl later tonight... it just aired lol.
