I dunno, Dio is far more pragmatic and intelligent than the average Vampire, he'd probably outsmart Santana...you know, upset him by kissing his Pillar Girlfriend and burning his Pillar Dog.

Well, of course he could. I mean, this is Jojo, intelligence>raw strength is a usual thing. The problem I see for Dio though, is that the only way for him to kill Santana is with the same thing that kills him, the Sun, while Santana could just eat him. It'd be an uphill battle for sure.

Jojo is on a break, no episode untile January 4 :( :( :( :(

Outside of a few really broken Stands, I'd say the pillar men are the most powerful enemies in the franchise. Dio doesn't really stand a chance against any of them.

Well, I wouldn‘t say NO chance, but I‘d be getting into spoilers. Still, it‘s hard to argue they aren‘t the brokenest antagonists.

Part 1 Dio would die in 10 seconds flat. Part 3 Dio wouldn't be able to do much either, considering the only thing that can kill a pillar man is direct exposure to sunlight and a really strong ripple. How do you kill someone you can't touch and is immune to weapons?

I don't remember BT that much so It's almost like I'm watching it for the first time.
Dio from PB has NO chance at all vs Santana.

Newest episode was pretty badass. The animation quality wasn't as good as in ep 11 I felt but Santana and Stroheim were perfect. Sadly they didn't have Jonathan put a compass into Donovan's eye :(

Was reading back. Few months back this one scene hooked me on reading and watching Jojo. I have not been disappointed since.

Episode 12

Just as gruesome and creepy as it was in the manga. The Owner of a lonely heart guitar riff was great though.

Also, did they cut a scene from the manga with Joseph in the desert? I could have sworn there was a part where
Joseph orders some thugs to bring him food and gas
but its been a while since I read BT so maybe I'm getting stuff confused.

I think the opposite actually, we have the most animation so far at this episode, they even bother animate breaking tea cup that stroheim throw lol, its a good sign we have more motion by each episode.
Yes, but that was cut from last episode.
There's few page with Joseph bullying some thug at his travel.

Manga Page

Yep that was the one I was thinking of. Don't remember the compass part though :(

It seems they are cutting some of the purely comical parts that have no relevance story-wise. In Episode 11 they cut a scene were Jojo is confronted by a thug while he and Smokey are running from Straits. Not a great loss, IMO.

That sounds vaguely familiar as well. I suppose I can't complain, as you said by and large they have no real relevance, and the pace of the anime has been pretty great so far. Hopefully they don't go overboard though, some of the fluff and comedy is what made Joseph stand out as such a fun main character when I read BT.

Now now, you could take up the chance to read the manga if you haven't already.

Then you still got something to look forward to, especially in the case there will be no greenlit for the next season.

Merry christmas everyone.

Well, unless I'm mistaken it's in the top 20 for anime in Amazon JP right now, so I think we can safely say that it at least has some popularity.

Top 20 or something doesn't mean shit for anime, its about total number sales.

Although from what I heard the anime helping boosting Jojolion's sales (n maybe the manga too) and I can imagine they would not give before the more popular part (part 3-5) got adapted.

Part 3 Dio could just use Za Warudo to stop time and throw the pillar man into orbit/the sunrise.
