I just realized that this has been the goriest "weekly" anime series I have watched since Yu Yu Hakusho! All that memories resurfaced!

I was referring to the older HxH anime, but then again I dropped it during the Nen training arc (it was... really really boring to say the least, like DBZ but instead of powering up it's "training"). I recall seeing much more gore in YYH, but then again as long as they're demons I guess it's fine.
Speaking of which I love JJ anime's pacing!
LOL I really hope they do the parts 3-6 too. Especially from part 4 on JoJo gets gory as hell.

You dropped HxH before it got REALLY good and dark as hell. People getting decapitated, mutilated, their faces eaten, etc. It was almost jarring how much of a far cry the Yorkshin arc was compared to the rest of the series, and it only get darker with each subsequent arc (to the point of children getting fuckin killed horribly).

I dunno, I feel that the worst of it is mostly part 2. The rest of the parts have more gore due to being longer, but for the most part I wouldn't say it gets as bad as the worst gore in Battle Tendency.
Vento Aureo sure has no restrains on mutilation and similar though. "Good thing you can heal" indeed.
Well, I'd say the darker "skipped" Greed Island from what I can remember since it wasn't nearly as bad, but yeah, I have NO fucking clue how they're ever going to do the Chimera Ant arc.
Wasn't Part 5 the more Gory one? I thought Part 4 toned it down a bunch, but maybe my memory just sucks.

No, I'd agree that part 4 is pretty much the least violent part.
Sure technically getting blown up is violent, but there's literally nothing left to see, so yeah...Meanwhile in part 5 the characters get mutilated like it's nothing because Gold Experience.

BTW I got a question about Kars/Khars/Cars; how is the first part of his name written in Japanese? Is it written so it reads/sounds like Ka or Ca?

It's カーズ, or KAAZU. Ka and Ca are the same in Japanese.
It seems like that's actually how you write the band name in Japanese, according to wikipedia.

What I was trying to convey was, there is no c or k in Japanese, just ka ki ku ke ko, kya kyu kyo, there is no special extra way to make a hard c sound.
Incidentally, kaazu can also be used for the word "cards."
