This show got even weirder than ever. :lol

And what's with the random addition of sound effects in the OP right at the end of the season? :P

they turned into dust tho

I get that the squirrel part was supposed to show he has to adsorb/something the animals first before he can do it, but he pulled the bird, armadillo and fish out his ass really. Could have pulled zombie pals out his ass too.

This episode really demonstrate how much pain Speedwagon went through. He lost George who he respect, he lost his best friend Jonathan, he lost his godnephew Jorge and now he's gonna lose god grandnephew Joseph. SpeedWagon and Erina can catch no break.

god, seeing this fight animated is glorious. Crazy how exact it is from the manga too. So badass. Can't wait for next week's episode! Ultimate Cars is just fucking awesome, man.

Oh god...WUBWUBWUB while the squirrel was fucking some Nazi shit up lol.

Is Speedwagon Car's cheerleader? Dude was hyping him up so badly.

The octopus out of nowhere made me lol.

Excellent episode and fight. Can't wait to see the conclusion. One more ep :(

Definitely agree with this. Hearing him screaming and begging Jojo to stop was really emotional.

I didn't find it emotional because his character is just over dramatical about everything. It's Speedwagon being Speedwagon.

Whoever penned this story really does make it border on being both utterly hilarious and intense. The whole first portion to the enactment of the "plan" was way incredible and fun. Cars ftw. Loved how everything just continued to escalate and the visuals and effect filters and what not, even the colors corresponding to the direness of the situation or if the situation were good made it quite memorable.

However, I did almost just stop the episode and not finish it
When the piranhas were chewing the plane and such and Speedwagon went on that long thing about how all the joestar family is cursed with short lives and then Joseph was like he'd just drive the plane into the volcano in a final suicide attempt. If he somehow dies and meets the same fate as Ceasar then Ill just give up on the franchise. Because this is just too much at times and I need some sort of happiness in the anime. Hopefully next week, they survive on the volcano and make it out alive.

People working on the show must be done and are just bored as adding the sound effects in the OP was amazing, the balls clinging to chime, the whoosh and such sound when Ceasar and Joseph was there on it and a bit more.

We should cease obliquely hinting at any later part in this topic, no matter how benign (I'm guilty of it as anyone). We do have another topic for other parts, after all!

Hey guys, I just started watching JoJo.
I watched the first episode ages ago and it didn't really click for me.
But on a whim I decided to watch the second episode a couple of nights ago.

It Was Amazing.

AMAZING I TELL YOU!

I'm up to episode 9 at the moment. I love how they dispense with all this needless "explaining how they learn their powers" (ok the ripples are explained somewhat) and just jump straight into it with JoJo throwing all these different OVERDRIVES everywhere.

And my lord, it is a nice change of pace to have a show that moves this quickly. JoJo's father dies, Dio becomes a vampire, JoJo beats up a guy with a cool hat whose name is Speedwagon who then befriends him, JoJo meets a guy who gives him magic powers, that guy dies.

I'm half expecting Speedwagon to die any episode now and for Poco to be JoJo's new sidekick (until he inevitably dies).

Good show!

Man what a lousy padded out episode.

Good show!

Episode 9 is the best episode of Part 1 for...reasons. Just wait and see.

I've enjoyed pretty much every episode, but that one was just filled with so much padding and almost no action.

Can you explain how I'm wrong about it being filled with padding?

Umm...well I don't know what made it feel so padded to you. It was a pretty action-packed and fast-paced episode, and all the events happened rather quickly. Outside of maybe the talking with Speedwagon when Joseph was in flight, everything happened rather quickly. The whole fight with Ultimate Cars is only lasting 2 episodes too.

Doesn't seem like anyone else had the same complaint.

one thing bothered me

if Cars has super vision, why didn't he see Jojo's decoy on time? did he get to the parchute too fast?
