Oh god just found second audio track in nutbladder sub, its glorious

Are there any chance they can secure Get Back for part 3? ;___;

If they didn't here, it's probably not on the table.

Holy Diver is probably an easier deal to strike, maybe we'll get that? It's got that 45 or 60-second leadin they can play with like Roundabout's too.

Unfortunately this episode just wasn't that good. I had hoped the writer had learned from his past blunders with the part I ending but I guess that wasn't the case. He just cant write an ending for beans. The first three minutes were the best part of the episode but then after that it was like everything just collapsed and fell apart. I even stopped the episode then, turned it off, and came back an hour later as it was just frustratingly and offensively bad.
We go through this huge life or death ordeal and finally after finally managing to throw cars into what should be his grave, he just suddenly pops up and slashes Josephs arm off? What even, that is not how you end a story. Worst yet it was just bad thing after bad thing and made it too depressing. Then the death card was played, why? Fortunately there was a glimmer of hope as Joseph survived (albeit he did make another huge mistake of lead characters in a genre there), but I am glad that the writer at least left with some sort of joy after the big moment earlier this arc. Playing with my emotions is just not good and not how an ending should be.

Battle Tendency as a whole was actually really amazing and I can easily forgive this episode just on account of the resolution. The soundtrack is great, the characters both protagonists and antagonists were good, well except for Lisa Lisa, and just everything in terms of interactions, commentary, skills, and even suspense and intensity were just really genre defining. I cant imagine if this can even be topped in later parts which I hope get animated just so I can experience more of the series. Though I bet there is no comparison to Caesar and Joseph. At least they can still live on forever in the fandom. 9 / 10

Just watched the 90's OVA...it felt like spoiling myself reading a wikipedia entry or something. :P Looking forward the to the TV series adaptation, bet TV Old Joseph will be much more awesome.

Already? Should have watched the 2000s OVA first since for some asinine reason, it adapts the first half of part 3 while the 90s one adapts the second half.

Tell us what you thought of the ending. Don't just leave us hanging.

I wanted 19yo Joseph back :(
Hyped for the next part, does that mean Dio is finally back (but please no old man)?! And the new dude looks like he'll be better than Jonathan, but hope hes as hilarious and funny as Joseph.

Yes,
Dio is alive and well, and Part 3 is where he truly becomes a villain

Joseph is still badass as an old man.

Jotaro is well he has the personality of wood. His only 2 emotions are stoic and angry. He doesn't have the charm Joseph had.

Great way to finish the Cars fight with Sono Chi no Sadame, so good.

A solid adaptation overall with excellent soundtrack and voice actors despite the "animation".

Guess Part 3 will be next Fall. For those wondering if its worth watching the OVAs.

Of course it is (contain spoilers). Love how they turned the last battle in a DBZ fight.

Jotaro still very fun to me :(
He act so goofy at times, he acting stoic just adding fun when the jokes kick in.

Jonathan was a gentleman and brave hero.
Joseph was Joseph.
Jotaro is cold.
Yup, they contrasting to each other..

DTL will love Josuke I think. And he'll hate part 6.

EDIT: Though maybe he'll like Kakyoin/Polnareff, I think they're already a pairing?

We shouldn't referencing other part bro.

But its clear to me which part that he gonna put on pedestal and toilet :lol

Get Back would be ideal, but I'd take Holy Diver gladly.

Great ending to a great series, I still can't believe I ended up loving this series despite the awful animation.

Still finding annoying at what is probably one of the biggest plotholes ever, did the author just forgot how Dio died?

The author forgets A LOT of things.

Its not JoJo without Araki bad memories.

Maybe he trade his memory for evergreen face with devil :lol

They find Dio in the metal coffin from part 1, but Dio couldn't have died or even get in there, since Erina used the coffin to escape the burning boat at the end of Phantom Blood

I knew about this plothole beforehand, but I was kinda expecting the anime to retkon it somehow in order to make actual sense

1. You mean Giorno
2. You are wrong
too much pokémon
it's Giovanna and that's the surname the name is Giorno

Bah stupid Pokemons. I just call him gio gio

iirc there were two coffins

i was gonna say that there were 2 coffins too.

but then, why would Dio have 2 coffins in the boat in the first place?

i think making Erina escape in a lifeboat or something would have fixed that problem (though the situation would have made getting to one very hard).

Nope, just one. If there were two (which is the only logical theory), the other one is never mentioned

It will probably be added if they ever do part 3.
Something Something Dio knew Erina would escape using one of the coffins so he had another hidden or something like that.

Oh, and GioGio was probably the weakest hero.

Very few of JoJos actually an hero though, they just have business to get rid the big bad.

One of the little reason why I like the franchise.

And speaking of thread titles, what would the title for Season 2/Part 3 thread be named? Both OT titles for this thread (on parts 1&2) have been references to Part 3 events, so just how many references are left for the actual part lol.

We could keep it a simple "yare yare daze."

Or if you want to, something with WARUDO, knives, and roadrollers.

Hmm, "Where's ZA WARUDO?"?

Nah, it's just your basic run of the mill plot hole.

I assume when the 90's OVA was conceived the only had the money do a few episodes so they just chose do the ending, rather than the beginning.

Maybe not the right thread for it, but I know there are a bunch of people in here that have fallen out of anime and this helped bring them back into it. Well, there's another anime this season with a more mainstream appeal, so I thought I'd pimp that even if it isn't really comparable to JoJo.

It's called Attack on Titan/Shingeki no Kyojin. Branduil made a thread. You should check it out.
