Harley + Whedon Batgirl sounds like the path for DC to make infinite teenage girl money.

Seems like DC is abandoning their "planned out" cinematic universe and just making a bunch of semi-connected films with all the quality properties they have (that are bat-centered at least) like Fox. Good decision.

It's almost like Whedon's claim to fame was writing about a teenage girl everyone doubted who rose to being a genuine hero and people are happy to see that again, in contrast to Whedon trying to inject the feel of writing for a teenage female superhero while writing for male characters.

Whedon's work on the original Avengers was widely praised so there is a bit of hypocrisy if anyone shit on Whedon's Marvel work but is happy to see him do Batgirl.

Works for me! Keep some connective tissue similar to how they did DCAU (writing of that caliber would be nice too), and let this stuff stand on its own.
