What was the question?

People frequently group you together with Edward Snowden because you've both released classified American documents. But your motivations and philospophies couldn't be more different.
Snowden claims to fight for privacy. He's called privacy the bedrock of freedom, that one cannot be free without privacy.
You have called privacy obsolete and unsustainable. You've said that privacy has no inherent value. You appear to believe privacy and freedom are incompatible, that you cannot be free if others can keep secrets from you. You've published the credit card numbers, social security numbers, medical information, and sexual preferences of individuals of zero public interest. Two of your most recent publications are the personal Gmail inboxes of civilians, exactly the sort of thing Snowden has tried to protect.
Can you convince me that you're right and Snowden's wrong?

edit: not much of an answer. his answer amounted to how snowdens release of information was done through traditional media and was "privatised"

Guarantee these answers are safe or of the philosophic variety about his attitude towards abstract concepts rather than anything of note.

How do you do the ((())) thing while speaking?

Has he answered any of the questions with,"The jews!"?

When has Assange ever even hinted at holding antisemitic views?

For people who might not know: Back in February, the UN found Assange to be "arbitrarily detained" in violation of the Universal Declaration on Human Rights. They excoriated the Swedish prosecutor for a "lack of diligence", resulting in Assange's prolonged detention. Furthermore, the report says Assange is entitled to an "enforceable right to compensation" as a remedy for his treatment.

Who is forcing him to stay there? Should the UK and Sweden just ignore the accusations made against him? A judge ruled he should be extradited to Sweden, so that is what needs to happen. He chooses to ignore that ruling.

This is an absurd smear based on innuendo ("reputation" being the keyword in the headline), dubious guilt by association, and intentional misinterpretation. The actual Assange/Wikileaks quotes provided are mocking elite fake-activist liberals, and the cynical use of antisemitism accusations by partisans to prevent criticism of far-right Israeli policy

So its ok to be anti semitic if you're mocking elite fake-activist liberals?

No, they should not ignore the accusations. Six years ago, the Swedish prosecutor should have investigated the accusations and charged Assange if the evidence was decent.

That didn't happen.

Assange was willing to be extradited if Sweden would provide a guarantee he not be further extradited to the US. Obviously the US has nothing to do with the rape accusations, but do have a secret indictment against Assange ever since Wikileaks released US diplomatic cables. Assange was also willing to be interrogated within the Ecuadorian embassy or over the phone. These proposals were all rejected until last November, when Assange was interviewed by Swedish prosecutor.

If your want to see Assange face justice for rape, you should be as outraged by the last 6 years as I am.

I am not in the habit of letting the accused set the rules for his investigation and trial, and no judge should allow that also.

Well you're on the wrong side of a UN investigation on human rights, and you're also out of step with the actual Swedish prosecutor. So congrats, I guess?

Oh look we already have our first defender of Wikileaks.

I'm on mobile so I can't check post history, but I'm sure any other member could check if sugarhigh4242 has a history of defending Wikileaks/Russia, attacking "identity politics", defending Trump, blaming everything on "neoliberalism", and/or attacking Democrats/liberals for ridiculous reasons.

Edit: fuck it I found a way to get around mobile's limitations. Sugarhigh4242 was banned before when he victim blamed Kurt Eichenwald for being targeted by seizure inducing images:

Eichenwald is despicable.

If he thinks he is in the right, then he should appeal or sue, whatever the process is and let a judge rule on it again. Fine by me. But as long as that hasn't happened, I see no reason to feel sorry for the man that sits in an embassy by choice.

Well for once no request has been made from the US to hand him over, not even from the UK?

He should have let the investigation has it due cause.
