It is a real tragedy about Chester. It is abhorrent to see people say "but he had so much money" and shit like that too. Very, very sad.
Suicide is the highest preventable cause of death here before the mid-40s. On average, someone attempts to commit suicide every 7 minutes in Australia. It is very upsetting there is still a stigma surrounding mental health in the west when so many people suffer. Self-stigma, in people who viewed people with mental issues as being "weak" or whatever, then not knowing how to deal with it when it effects them is a huge issue too. Those folks are even less likely to seek help and often need it more urgently than long term sufferers owing to dissonance etc. There are so many issues worth discussing that shouldn't really be brought up in this thread it is heartbreaking.
I have lost people I love and care about to suicide in the past and I am extremely worried and devastated about someone I love right now, to the point functioning normally is hard for me. Every case of suicide is a hellish tragedy. With every fiber of my being, I wish it was easier for everyone to reach out for help without the potentially judgemental shit attached. Fuck.
