Started today's Climax. Ishii winning is good, first match I liked from the other dude this tournament.
Still keeping up with G1, skipped one day so far. I'm trying to pace the matches during the day so I don't burnout. Being in vacation helps, not sure I could be working and watching 2 hours of wrestling every day.

The only thing I could think of it when Antonio Inoki won the Heavyweight belt at a house show in Japan, but that is not recognized by the WWE.

All I can think of is the fact that in a single G1 climax tournament I've seen more terrific matches than I'll get in a year on WWE. I can't say I've seen WWE put on a match as good as Ibushi vs ZSJ in well over a decade and that was just one of the matches in the thing.
They could also stand to learn from NJPW camera men how to build a matches action. Of course this would also imply that the shit on WWE is quality enough to keep in frame and doesn't need cuts to hide how overly whiffed and sloppy a lot of strikes and holds are...and we all know they are super sloppy at times and weak on strikes.
Only thing NJPW needs is more talented English announcers to match the energy level of the great japanese ones they have. Too many low spots and muted emotions from the english side of their commentary.

I firmly believe the WWE product would immediately benefit from a new producer. The camera work takes away so much of the sport element of the whole thing.

Boring is talking majority WWE in a thread about 'Wrasslin' in general.... Majority as in 90%.

Start talking about NJPW then and get people to join in? I am on about every time some one says "WWE was good" etc NJPW gets bought into the discussion. It isn't needed.

Nice, went to the rumble last year and had lots of fun. Just remember to not get hyped over number 30.
It's not like its irrelevant though, there has been a week of NJPW shows that have been great coinciding with one of the shittiest WWE PPV's and '2 decent shows'.
OH and someone did mention NJPW and you shut them down.
It isn't just about this week man. I post in here a lot and NJPW gets bought up a lot when people are saying WWE was good etc.
