Yeah, it's getting really rough to even watch NXT without getting annoyed at the crowd.

They might need to repurpose the Smackdown pipe-in crowdnoise team to NXT soon. They're free now that Smackdown is going live.

They'd better rush to the store for their sound equipment.

I think they have some of these cats be jobbers during the new brand extension. Give them another shot but I'm sure they know who already has the most potential anyway.

The term jobber means someone who exists to put someone else over, to never win, to only ever enhance others. Right?

Why cut their balls off like that?

Christian's at last theme is so godlike
If you read the Observer reports from that period, they hate! The theme but I always thought it was amazing and the entrance as well.
Preach.

Man, what a weird time it was for the company during the era that it was used.

Wrestlemania X8 felt so out of place when compared to the other years.
Talk about using the phrase, beginning of the end to describe something. That's exactly what 18 was.
Going from Austin/Rock to HHH/Jericho in a year is jarring
If Booker defeated Hunter at 19, it would've been the perfect event to make up for 18.

I feel like it was a hold over from the Golden Age, even as a mark-ass 12 year-old I knew there was nothing impressive from squashing a nobody who didn't even get an entrance.

Now they tend to stick to jobbing out their current talent but it's not as egregious as before. Sometimes they win.

And why do they do it? Well the writers (Vince) feel like that person has gotten to the highest they could and no reason to waste any more time on them. I'm sure the person themselves hates that but you gotta eat.

I just finish this whole Broken Matt Hardy thing. I don't get it? Is it going over my head or are some of you guys really carny.

The good thing is they could easily recover once they're brought back to NXT. Remember, Matt & Jeff were jobbers who turned into one of the greatest tag teans of all time.

Imagine this, but with the words "This is Wrasslegaf" over the top.

Off topic - work sucks, I'm up to my eyes in shit, no wrasslin' going on, haven't watched any in weeks. Are any of the first CWC matches must-watch?

Damn!

It looks like USADA isn’t done with Brock Lesnar just quite yet.

MMAFighting.com is reporting that because Lesnar is still technically a member of the active UFC roster, he will continue to be drug-tested by USADA.

Apparently Lesnar must formally inform USADA that he is once again officially retired from UFC competition to get the drug tests to stop.

“To my knowledge, Brock Lesnar has not notified USADA of his retirement from the UFC,” Madden said to Marc Ramondi of MMA Fighting. “Therefore, he remains subject to USADA testing and the UFC anti-doping policy.”

Brock Lesnar made his Octagon return at the historic UFC 200 event this past weekend, defeating top-ten ranked heavyweight contender Mark Hunt via unanimous decision in the co-main event of the evening.

Promising young upstart Sean Maluta really gave Kota Ibushi a run for his money, honoring his Samoan bloodline and showing the world that "hey I lost first round but almost beat one of the best wrasslers in the world"

Jobbers are great. They allow talent to get over their characters, their movesets (you can kill a jobber with a signature move, so that the audience isn't just sitting on it's hands waiting for finishers) and allows characters to build momentum. An Arn Anderson VS Jobber match is partially what got me into wrestling.

Also-it's easy to rehabillate them! Guy A is a jobber, but now he's got a manager. or a new gimmick. or a new finisher. Or turned heel. Storyline-wise, simple changes can completely reverse a character's fortunes.

Yet with today's fans the moment a wrestler loses two weeks on a row on Raw they are now jobbers.

Way back when, shit had its place, fans understood what was presented to them.

Now it's all "I won't watch unless it was a 4 star+ classic that I can enjoy without ever engaging in the none 4 star+ moments".

Shit is different now. For better or worse it's all different. Arn Anderson or not.

I can't help but feel Balor and Nakamura are capable of much, much more than that. Felt like they were holding back.

He's had lots and lots of good matches against a bunch of people.

Eventually people will notice Shinsuke Nakamura isn't doing anything special.

You know, this would be the first wrestling game that I will get in a long time. I mean, look at Shinsuke lithograph. (in Vince voice): Look at those brush strokes - WOW!

NXT followed by CWC is what two hours of wrestling should be each week. Even if Balor/Nakamura was just 'good' as opposed to 'great', it was a solid match that was unfortunately marred by a million advert-breaks.

Next week's NXT looks like it'll be good too.

Balor/Nakamura was quite good. I think you guys have become pre-disposed to find Balor matches boring.

Also, I'm about two-thirds through my first playthrough of Uncharted 3 and I'm surprised it even got that 8/10. The whole experience has been joyless and frustrating compared to the first two games, plus I'm sick of constantly being forced into hand-to-hand combat situations.

I started watching Veep. First episode was already quite solid.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus the goddess. Feels weird hearing her swearing after 8 seasons of Seinfeld (starting season 9 as I speak).

I need to go back and watch the series. Watched the first episode coming straight off the back of running through The Thick of It and felt it was missing some bite. I'm sure I just need to settle into it.

I had a lot of fun with it. To me 2 and 3 are both 8 out 10 games, which is pretty good. My favorite is the first one though, because at the time it blew my mind. Now I need to play 4.

Agreed. Uncharted 2 was one of my top 5 PS3 games but Uncharted 3 was more of a chore. People who like Uncharted 3 remind me of people who defend the last few seasons of How I Met Your Mother. Just because you are attached to the characters doesn't mean you need to lose objectivity.
