If predictability of matches is why people don't get over, please explain John Cena to me.
He's selling merch, he's obviously got the crowd's reaction. You completely ignore the fact they kill a guy's normal moveset coming in and becomes bland and eventually boring to watch. To you it's all about being over. If you love guy's being over, go watch more Miz or Santino matches. Enjoy.

Cena has been at it for almost 10 years. There's a reason people began booing him just two years after his face turn and were already tired of him.

Not to me, but to the WWE's US audience, yes, that's what it's all about. They don't care about good matches, they care about characters. Goldberg, Hogan, Cena are perfect examples of this. Unless you get yourself over on the mic, they'll never get behind you en masse. That, or kill 200 guys going undefeated.

Maybe they can give Del Rio Ryback's spot. He can break the arms of two jobbers at a time.

Just because WWE have seemingly forgotten how to get someone over on wrestling ability and workrate alone, doesn't mean it's impossible. You play to a guy's strengths, not limit him and try and make him something he isn't. Look at Dolph - what exactly have WWE done to put him over? To make him seem like a threat? The reactions he is getting are entirely because of how good he is in the ring. People want to see Dolph because they know they're probably going to get a good match out of it, not because of his character, and certainly not because of how he's been booked.

As long as nearly a million people tune the fuck out of Raw the second actual wrestling is happening, I don't expect WWE to change their formula.

And yes, that's the same million fools that tune right back in whenever the green capped smileyface turns up.

My points is, once again, 80% of getting over in the US is working a mic. It's that simple. That is the reason Del Rio didn't get over, that is the reason Sin Cara will never get over.

US public could give two shits about great wrestling, they want good mic workers. Might not be why you watch wrestling, but it is why most of the public watches this stuff. So yeah, in the indie scene, where people love wrestling, they get over based on their matches. In Japan they fucking respect the hell out of you when you have 30 minutes of fucking awesomeness in the ring.

In the US? Not so much. Ratings tell the whole story. Can you blame WWE for following the needs of their audience?

No, you don't need to work the mic to get over. You need to be good on the mic to be pushed by management. The exception is if you're physically huge.

Shelton Benjamin is the perfect example of this.

I watched the new London & Kendrick shoot yesterday....disappointing.
Nowhere near as good as the first. No real funny stories. The only people they (briefly) said anything bad about were Hunter and Punk. Kendrick didn't go as in depth about all his conspiracy theories as I was hoping. Basically just harped on the direction of the business and how they're working on improving themselves.

Wouldn't go too far out of your way to see it.

Sara del Rey, One of the top female stars in the world has been offered a WWE deal and is currently undergoing her pre-signing medical testing.

Del Rey was one of the showcase talents for SHIMMER's Women Wrestling and had strong showings and run in both CHIKARA and Ring of Honor.

Woah, that's awesome news for Sara - hopefully WWE start putting some more focus on the divas. Ah, who am I kidding? That probably won't happen. But still...Sara vs Beth, Sara vs Kharma rematch, Sara vs Natalya rematch, all would be great if given enough time.

5 solid to great wrestlers (Sara, Beth, Kharma, AJ, Natalya + Layla) = the building blocks of a division.

Hell, if you wanna bring up another example, look at Jeff Hardy.
He wasn't what I'd call that great on the mic (he was ok, but that's about it; at least he wasn't horrible), but he was mad over with the fans while he was in the WWE.
Especially going up and leading to his WWE title run.

He spoke to the rednecks who listened to Korn. Nothing to see here.

Definitely, and with promising younger wrestlers like Paige, Buggy Nova & Tenille, there's definitely all the pieces in places for a good division, but it will never happen with 3-minute TV matches (entrances included).

WWE also apparently gave a tryout to Mercedes Martinez at the same time as Sara.

You know this already, but we'll see Sara as a non-wrestling valet for the Usos.

Ugh, at least it wouldn't be so bad if she was valet for a reunited team of Cesaro & Ohno.

This is what bothers me. They have the wrestlers, but may not even do much with them.
Then again, with RAW going to 3 hours soon, maybe they can improve on that.

Let us count the ways they can misuse Sara:

1: non-wrestling valet for the Usos
2: Dancing girl for the Prime Time Players (who do not need it, they are amazing)
3: Anonymous GM
4: Forced to work a match with Kaitlyn

5: Incessantly mock her in story-line and on commentary for not being stick thin. King is often heard uttering the words "mannish" and "chunky"
6: Have her cut a promo about how she's a wrestler, not a diva, only to then have her repeatedly job to Kelly Kelly and her awful offence
7: Forced into a romance angle with Hornswaggle

I would like to believe that, and to me it's the only suitable reason for RAW going 3 hours; more wrestling. But something tells me it won't turn out like that. I have no faith in WWE to do anything right.

We can only hope that WWE signing Sara Del Rey is an indication that they are going to take women's wrestling serious again. Del Rey has been ready for WWE for years, but I always thought they overlooked her because she was more wrestler than diva. She is a bit more of a diva with her Queen of Wrestling persona, but still more of a wrestler.

Also, WWE needs to go ahead and hire Gabe Sapolsky as a talent scout....seriously.

3-hour RAWs don't translate into longer matches with developed stories and compelling finishes. Instead we see more 20-minute comedy segments, CM Punk dragging out a sobriety test that never ends, Michael Cole wrestling someone and humiliating himself and Cena wrestling twice per show.

If a 4-hour WrestleMania can't afford a D.Brine match longer than 18 seconds (and yet can squeeze in 3 minutes of the Funkasaurus dancing with his mom and her bingo club), how much TV time do you expect all of these new signings to receive?

Can't wait for Raw tomorrow night. My class ends at 9:30 but she might let us out early so i miss only the first 10-15 mins but that's still an important segment so I'm not sure if i wanna watch live from here on out or watch it on Tuesday. Raw is going to be so good. I'm loving the product. Every week we get new Raw.

Do they let you play with the Flintstones phone once you answer a question in class right?

Also I'm very very not pleased with Sara signing with WWE.

I did still want veto power and I don't like that picture, as I prefer to harken back to Kane's phenomenal tag team run alongside his equally talented partner the Hurricane. If this is unacceptable then contact me by PM and we can arrange a different avatar.

Let's relive one of their classic moments: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lbm4bjBDCr8&feature=related Can you guys imagine if the wheel went one space further and Kane in a bra and panties match, that would be HI-LARIOUS!
Alright, that's fine. It's a nice picture of Kane, but remember, you must have nothing but nice things to say about Kane for a month, and you've got to rock that Kane avatar during that time. It's a good thing I was pursuing law, before I switched to medicine. :)

I would like to introduce you guys to my new avatar of KOBE BRYANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So according to PWI, theres interest in Ricky Reyes. No deal has been offered yet.

Matt Taven got a deal too.

Well that and she's gained a ton of muscle since she started in FCW.

Other then that, I'm pretty sure it's all the same between then and now.

She has gained a lot of muscle, but she's had facial work done, no doubt. A good plastic surgeon makes it look natural, but she has certainly had her face touched up.

I don't even know how she could afford plastic surgery before coming to the WWE, and even then, before she came to the spotlight.

She looks the same, she just naturally aged.
