If he didn't have such a muscular neck (Meltzer talked about how in the dungeon they did tons of neck bridges) doctors said he would be dead.

I'm not blaming Joe I was just trying to figure out how Kidd got hurt.

Of course accidents happen and every time guys go out there they could come back in a stretcher.

I been on an ESO and Dragon Age kick lately. I want to get back into Dirty Bomb since it's the reincarnation of Brink. I legit cried when I saw the logo Splash Damage, followed by cartoon looking characters with guns.

More tryout news:

WWE reportedly had six men and two women at the tryout session, including Leona Fujinami, son of WWE Hall Of Famer Tatsumi Fujinami.

Also at the tryout was former TNA X-Division Champion Seiya Sanada, who still lives in the United States, but flew to Japan to take part in the tryout.

Other talents who took part in the tryout included Japanese talent Yohei, an independent wrestler from Osaka, Hikaru Shida, a popular women’s wrestler and the other names were people not as well known.

Some notes from Austin's podcast with Eric Van Wagenen of LU.

  • Pentagon shifts the most merch
  • All the big heels are way over with the live crowd
  • Eric was frustrated about how slow getting merch up and going has been
  • They had a PHD on Mesoamerican tribes come and consult for backstory stuff
  • They'd love to do a movie on the story of the Cueto family
  • After that Avengers money, not that Wrestlemania money
  • A lot of the characters came from a manga penned by one of Rodriguez's production people
  • Dario got legit shook when he went and announced LU at AAA said someone in the crowd shouted that "his mother's vagina smelled like sour milk"

Everyone is working real hard to get season 2 going. The breakdown for that is.

  • El Rey really want them back for Season 2
  • For season 1 they had Mexican backers put in money alongside El Rey
  • Eric said they are not going to compromise on their production vision/style
  • So they probably need another outside investor to drop some cash into the project alongside El Rey's portion, like Season 1

I think Tyson got hurt because he was so much smaller then most guys joe probably works with.

If Joe had let got of the leg Tyson would have landed on his back first instead of taking all of the slam on his neck on Joe's shoulder.

You are wrong about that. Joe worked in the X-division in TNA with a lot shorter people. Joe has been doing this move for over 10 years and this is the first injury from it.

It was just a freak accident that just happened.

People who say this takes the wind out of Joe which is stupid. I hope it was same for AJ Styles who went on streak of injuring people, the situation he had with lionheart and him putting out a shirt about how the move hurts people.

Regardless of everything I hope Tyson is able to stay healthy and make the right decision on if he can wrestle again.

Does WWE have a program to help wrestlers with some type of employment for a period of time to help them if they get injured in their ring?

The Cory Graves thing was really nice of them to do.

Hulu or Netflix would be a great match for LU.

LU has a lot of expenses behind it - although Netflix would give them the highest-profile and most-respected platform in terms of streaming content providers.

The Joe-Kidd deal was just a fluke. If Kurt Angle of all people could take that move for eight years, then Kidd could. WWE has had Cody do the move before too, so it's not the move - it's just a fluke thing, and it's still Joe's finisher so they at least know it isn't the move too.

right now there is no way outside of a sling sub to watch lucha underground online legally and thats not on demand.

Not saying that they completely fund them but they should try and get an online platform of some kind.

If they want Avengers money they need to be on Netflix, that would be the best first step.

I mean, yeah, accidents happen, but you should learn something from them. What went wrong this particular time? Did Kidd land the move wrong? Did Joe do something different? Are there other factors that we can't even see at play?

Even if it is an accident there is still a reason why things turned out the way they did. I don't think I have ever heard an explanation for it.

Did Nash walk across the ring wrong?

sorry, i'm being slightly disingenuous

Netflix + LU sounds like a perfect marriage

actually google/Youtube might be the best if the product wan't mired in TV deals.

When people buy ads from google they buy them from google and they place the ads base on your previous browser history. LU wouldn't have the issue of wrestling being on a "do not advertise" list because so ad executive thinks that all wrestling fans are poor white trailer trash with no spending power or that wrestling is a mixture of Russo sexism booking and 24/7 New Jack scaffold matches.

He is called the Submission Specialist in WWE as far as his shirt goes, I wouldn't mind if he just stuck to the Coquina Clutch.

I'm not too hyped about Joe in WWE either but then again the product hasn't really been too interesting to me.

Hmm true. Though Netflix bypasses that issue completely.

Netflix pretty much doesn't have any wrestling to watch. Not unless you count those weird WWE docs or the depressing non-WWE ones.

Joe's brief WWE/NXT run has been shit so far.

-Debuts with shitty theme music
-Does nothing but stares at Owens, that's his big debut
-Probably ends Kidd's career, but it was a fluke that wasn't really anyone's fault
-Has a couple bad matches
-Did I mention how awful his music was?

Two cannibals are eating a clown. One turns to the other and says "does something taste funny to you?"

WWE performers are all considered Independent Contractors so I doubt it. Kidd is reasonably well connected and was hurt through no fault of his own so I doubt he's going to be left in the cold.

That said, it's a dangerous industry. Rey Mysterio killed a guy with a regular kick that he didn't botch.
