The difference between this and the original Nexus invasion was that was obviously staged. If the Nexus members had come out in regular clothing and beat the shit out of everyone like they did, it would have been much more believable. With them coming out in wrestling tights, everyone knew it was part of the show. This could be passed off as being a complete shoot with no control from backstage, as already evidenced by a few people here thinking it was real. Awesome as fucking hell, and perhaps Punk tore into them more than what Vince thought he would, but Vince knew it was coming.
