Damn, it's been so long since I was junior member. I've seen way too many fads, an E3, and one too many pictures of wrestlers in sexually suggestive positions. Remember these days, Junior Members, these are the most innocent and purest of your internet lives.

What's the average tip you get as a percentage?

Err sorta OT :lol But I get tipped 1.5% of what the restaurant makes (currently I bartend a service bar). So at the end of the night, each waiter/waitress will tip me out 1.5% of their ringout. Being a small restaurant, I usually make $10-20 CDN/waiter.

I've heard at larger restaurants like Julio's Barrio here in Edmonton, the tipout remains the same, but there's about 8 waitresses working on busy nights, whereas there's only 4 where I work. Huge money involved!

No worries. If you want the real money though, train as a waiter.

Of course if you don't have experience work at that ASAP, or just start in summer (i.e. bartending school or working as a busboy etc.). I totally respect people who refuse to work during school!
