Just do missions and cause Chaos. I haven't found a good money making thing yet though. :/ There's no cheats for the game.

And no, the map opens up after the casino mission. I was wrong on that.

Anyway, went to the demo map/island and had a blast reliving through areas I spent a good week playing over and over in. :D

What are the islands with no towns holding? Powerful enemies or something?

Edit: Also I love just dicking around with the military jet. Take off, flip upside down and have the ground as my roof a la Descent of yore and just fly like that. I'm sure Scorpio is having blood rush to his head and is passed out by then but hey, he isn't one the one controlling the plane. I AM.

There are some mods that make things easier, like free vehciles and weapons and ones that remove the "What can I do for you" cutscene when you access the black market.

Note that I havent found an infinite health or ammo cheat on that site that works aside from BOLOpatch. However, bolopatch is currently being updated to work with the current JC2 version. Once thats out, we can go back to having infinite health and ammo as well.

it's fine without cheats. Anyways, JC2 was a huge surprise to me. JC1 wasn't very good imo and at times too hard.

But man I've got 100% on 2 files and still play. Just today I was on a motorcycle going down the highway about to jump a ramp. I'm about to land when I see a military jeep heading towards me. My bike slams into the jeep and explodes. I jumped off at the last minute, but, still it was awesome.

Missions give you plenty, also blowing up everything in a town will give you money. Finding drop shipments, etc. will help. Basically anything on your map that's listed, you get money from.

Too bad I'm picking up the 360 version... no way my computer can handle JC2.

Tried out the FPS mod last night. It's as awesome as the vid on the mods site shows.

I really hope JC3 has an FPS mode built-in.

Also installed one of the black market mods that unlocks everything and removes the annoying intro/outtro. Well worth it.

All this is encouraging me to break the 60% completion barrier (currently at 56%)

GAF I need a GPU to mostly play Just Cause 2 (and Crysis 2)

my budget is $200 or less (Canadian dollars, which is pretty much the same as US dollars)

Can people here please recommend me the best Video Card money can buy for 200 or less?

My current card is the Nvidea 9600GT, and I like the idea of using it solely for the Physix engine ( post I just read two pages back)

So yes please recommend me a great card for that price, that is proven to work well with Just Cause 2. thanks (Current build Quad Core Intel Q6600 at 2.4Hz, with 4GB DDR2 )

Hm, with this thread on the frontpage I might as well update my opinion: game is great.

Driving isn´t that great and flying the fighter plane (only did it once) isn´t as fun as it was in San Andreas, but the rest is really good. Well, flying choppers and shooting dudes, I haven´t played that much and the story is balls.

On the shooting front I can say that half of my kills are from headshots. My hit percentage is probably 1% or less, though, because I love strafing runs with choppers or walking around with a gatling and just spray everything in my way.

You know, I don't think I need any of that - something awesome is always just around the corner or next to you, and you make some awesome fun. Having a new 'sandbox' so to speak with friends, though, that could be amazing.

I just got his game for the 360 tonight from Games on Demand. Is it worth paying another 160 MS Points to get the Black Market Aerial Pack? I seem to recall hearing good things about it when it was released, mainly about how it improved the functionality of the parachute.

If your going to play the game beyond the story, then it is definitely worth it.

The jet isn't really worth it, but the multi-lock missile launcher makes quite a lot of the fights better and the parachute thruster is just fun to travel around with.

I must be playing this wrong, because I haven't had much fun. It's pretty repetitive so far, I've put about 5 hours into it. Stronghold missions are always the same, follow technician around while you kill anything that moves. Saving villages/cities and destroying military bases are pretty repetitive too. Vehicle handling is horrible btw. And why is there no ability to take cover?

What gives?

you dont play the story, you get a 100% complete save game, do the cheat for unlimited cash and go round blowing shit up in various vehicles and admiring the graphics.

I loved the cheesy singleplayer. Rolling through that and the side missions was a ton of fun IMO. Especially the finale.

I've been meaning to get this game for a while, now that it's cheaper I may finally get it. I just wish Gamestop didn't sell new games open, I guess my best bet is online since no other store in my area carries this game.

The game is very repetitive, so its up to the player to try and make it more interesting.

Also, do you have the pc version? If so go download some mods: http://www.justcause2mods.com/

BOLO Patch is a must as it gives you infinite/unbreakable ropes.
Superman Mod is a lot of fun to use and makes crossing map faster.
Also lots of car mods to make them handle better (although still not that great).

Don't even want to think about them! I found the blasted thing, there was a pipe starting in the complex, which left it and carried on up a hill to a station that needed overloaded.

I plan to do just that once my finals are through with!

This game is so much fun. I'm not that far in, but I love how I get to play it on PC now in higher than 1080p resolution and well over 60 fps. It shits all over playing the demo on PS3 (which was no slouch IMO). If they had written dialog and story that weren't so ridiculous, and the missions were a little tighter, this would have been a huge game.

JC3 needs destructible barracks like mercenaries had, the endless respawning enemies gets annoying. That and the horrible vehicle controls.

Other than that, amazing game, just picked it up about a week ago.
