Do you have actual screenshots of the game in 1080p or just these post-processed mini-gifs?

I played Driveclub on a projector, and it didn't impress me at all even compared to Forza Horizon 2.
Forza Horizon 2 on the other hand is still the GOAT racing game for me.

I actually agree with OP, DriveClub still after all these years looks better than most games out there. And FH4 is one of my fav games of all time.
In before 30 FPS and low quality textures and 1080P Resolution.



Still the only game to scare the shit out of me going in at high speeds.

Forza Horizon 4 is an open world game. DriveClub isnt. Evolution Studios could really up the trackside detail because of this.

That said, I agree. I also played FH4 on my 2080 in 4k and as good as it looks, DC looked better. Something about the lighting and sense of speed.

Driveclub is not about graphics, is about the color calibration. They way the sun and the night, not to mention the cloud aspect make you feel in the real world.

I tend to agree, but I'm not sure if this is a thing you can really decide objectively. I think the art direction and attention to detail in DriveClub is stunning. I basically bought a PS4 for DriveClub. FH4 looks great, but from a visual style perspective it's a very different game.

Hahaha, this so much though. Every video someone's ever shown me of driveclub it's just the entire hud looking like I'm playing the game in the shower with a tv behind the glass shower screen just streams of water running down the camera. It must offer some strange effect that makes the game look better than it should.

That's the smeared assed low quality motor storm engine textures I remember. That lack of anisotropic filtering and flat brown mud textures Are classic.

Annnnnnd one is an open world game achieving much more while the other is a track game. Both good but very different and Drive club looks good only under certain settings and that's coming from somebody that likes drive club

The way the game shifts from cloudy weather to sunny is still unmatched. Other games, not only racing games, are good to portrait a sunny day or a cloudy day but they fail when the sky is becoming darker, the effect always looks fake.
