All anime fans should watch Haruhi. The first season is lulzy. It has a very authentic japanese feeling to it moreso than the other shows which I really enjoyed. The movie is also fucking awesome.
Endless Eight and season 2 in general killed my hype for it though. I wonder whose bright idea that was.

Kanon is 24 episodes. Make sure you watch the 2006 one.

I'm actually pretty bummed that that song was from Clannad. My brother used to play the "Nagisa" track really loud on the speakers or piano and I always thought it was him and his girlfriend's "song", so it would annoy the hell out of me. I'd be minding my own business trying to think, and then suddenly "Dango" is emanating from the bathroom. This unfortunately meant that it had little emotional effect when I heard it in the show due to my impression. :/
I'm a big fan of Key's use of the music box and bell instruments though. The background tracks are really something else.

I didn't like that one the first time I watched it. After watching all of Clannad + Clannad: After Story I now just tear up when I see it...

Ah, Clannad was one of the very first anime I watched (first 5 at least) so it had quite the impact on me. I didn't watch After Story till years later.

Story was fantastic and it definitely had its fair share of moments. I think I would of benefited from re-watching Clannad first, as most of if was forgotten.

A fair share of Bleach/Naruto openings had some rap in them. I don't remember them being terrible.

I don't mind it in other songs I've heard, but in this one it's 4 1/2 minutes of sweet and cute music and then suddenly there's this English rap by another artist, so it was really... unexpected.

I haven't watched much Bleach, but I love season 2 opening.
I liked the song you linked, saved Orange Range for later.
As for Initial D, this is pretty much a classic, but Rage Your Dream is amazing.
The new anime Log Horizon has a bit of rap in it as well.
Although, the ending theme super super cute <3
