Having rewatched Pacific Rim a week ago, goddamn is Mako insufferable. Maybe it's her accent that hinders the actress from delivering her lines properly, but she's just really really annoying to watch. Same goes for Raleigh, a pretty one-note character with nothing to contribute in most scenes except to serve as a generic white lead.

Would have gladly traded Raleigh and Mako for the Hansen family as the lead characters, and would have made the
ending sacrifice
a lot more powerful.

But seeing as that didn't happen, please do not make Raleigh and Mako the mains, they suck.

Yeah I loved PR but the human characters are pretty much garbage with the exception of Idris Elba and Ron Pearlman.

Are they going to be visible to the point we can tell they're featherless, that's all I give a shit about. Pacific Rim would be been one of the greats if 95% of the film wasn't set in the evening.

Did all of you guys' theaters/TV screens have the dimmest settings or something? This has to be one of the brightest movies that take place mostly at night. You can see many details, especially if you're watching the BD.
