Yeah, I just stuck to farming A ranks on easy even with the lower drop rate because I didn't want to keep doing the sub phase and I didn't want to farm on hard.

I just beat hard mode and the hardest part for me was getting to the boss with all the pre-boss Wo Kai trolling (or getting a red T at the boss), but if you can at least get A ranks consistently (if you can get there) than at least it's a viable farm.

My run was crazy... had so much pain chipping, but I beat the boss on literally the most perfect run possible (no damage pre boss, green T on boss, boss support killed almost all escorts... like wow).

I could accept Wo Kai trolling, its their job. But those DD one shot BB to taiha, in day battle, that the biggest troll ever.
Or being forced to retreat on M node after all the hard work dealing with Wo Kai.

I'm able to A rank the boss node, all the time, even with RedT, but yeah, the biggest challenge is to reach that node.

EDIT: Twice in a row got denied by node M. Eva 98, luck 60, still cannot dodge.

How many events in a row have we had that has had Wo Kai in it? It seems to be every event since Summer 2015. I don't really like this trend, but as time goes on, my fleet and equipment does get better so dealing with Wo Kai gets a bit easier, but damn is it annoying.

That's why I gave up and used node support... but obviously not viable for farming. :(

Yeah, they've been in pretty much every event... which is why you basically need 3 dukis and a Maya for AACI at this point.

Yeah, and that's why my Maya got an extra slot this event. Still need to retreat a lot because of them tho.

Node M is air defense node, node support won't help here. Even a perfectly healthy Yukikaze can get taiha there.

Looks like if you equip your ships with a depth charge or sonar, they deal MASSIVE damage to the E3 boss. Yet another fun nuking gimmick. Last event was the nuclear test fodder dealing massive damage, now it's this. Of course in the Spring 2016 event, it was using Zuiuns to dive bomb and nuke the E6 boss.

It seems like you need a strong TCI for it to work. I think most people are going to have KTKM save the day though, particularly because you are going to have weaker TCI against the CV himes if they target them.

I used node support before during chipping run. They are either just don't come or only did a little damage, so I decided that it's not worthy. Need full sparkle as well.

A little too late tho. Cleared the event already and farming doesn't really need that. I'd be glad if they found how to debuff all those preboss tho.

9 runs in a row now, none reached the boss node. Sigh.
Spoils today(all dups): Aganon, Noshiro, Hatsukaze, Kazagumo.
I-13 still missing.

I can confirm two things now.

1. Escort flagship wont sank in combined fleet, even in taiha. Akizuki was taiha on the very first node on that run.
2. Hitomi exist!

Yeah, it's been like that for 2 years at least. I think it's because they haven't figured out a way to program the flagship of an escort fleet to be treated like a normal ship - or, because they never fixed it and let it go for so long, that they're just letting people get away with it now because people might get angry with the change. Every event someone tests it with a dummy fleet to see if it still works and so far, so good.

(It's also why subs can't be flag in escort fleets - although they made subs off-route most maps anyway, so it doesn't matter).

Yeah, I know it has been confirmed again and again, but still, it's a nerve wrecking to proceed with taiha ship without damecon. A super important rare ship with upgraded equips was in red from the first node, proceeds to boss node and enter yasen. It paid off with a target ship as a reward tho.

I thought I could do e1+e2 in single day yesterday, and here i'm still stuck thanks to that troll 4x golden sub
not sure if leftover resources after clearing e2h (basically bauxite) are enough to do e3h :\

e3h cost me 15-20k bauxite for all phases and debuffs, but I did it with not too much trouble.

Shouldn't be a problem. Bauxite is barely used in this event. Mainly for refilling LBAS.

Still trying to farm Yuu.

The only time I ever get something drop on node I I get A rank so I can't get her. I've had a good number of S and Perfect S now and I've not got a single drop from any of them.

This suuuucks.

EDIT:

Switched out Jintsuu for Sendai. First run perfect S again and finally.

now biggest dilemma is to rush e3h or farm hitomi first lol
leftover from getting trolled countless time by that golden subs node, 55.8k/65.2k/67.9k/15.8k

Sigh. 5-5 is a cancer. Running with 2 DD for Arashio quest, node E just let them pass and I managed to clear that quest. Running with 2FBB 3CVB 1CV, nope, taiha all the way, or welcome to L node... 10 runs, only once got to boss node..
EDIT: Finally 5-5 LD. Should I go with 3FBB 3CVB for yasen mode or stay with current one? Boss support is mandatory right?

5-5? tbh I haven't used boss support ever since they added plane proficiency + crane k2
usually I just use 1fbb + 5cv(b) to do that map

edit: and done. surprisingly only 6.7k bauxite used for e3h lol. was expecting it to be at least 10k. meanwhile e2h eats 2x lol. thanks ctf. probably i'll go back to e1 and see if I can score nimu or yuu

The Late Model Bow Mounted torpedoes apparently have a damage modifier when the submarine is equiped with a submarine sonar. Also, nice to see that the Zuiun 631 has a purpose. Someone on the subreddit basically called it although it wasn't exactly hard to see coming.

To reach the boss node is a big problem already. C node BB taiha Yamashiro KN in one single hit from full health in AS+. When the fleet finally able to reach boss node, they are denied by ultimate taiha works during the day battle. Sigh, every ship went straight red after a single hit. NB is useless if all in red.

I have LBAS with 1 x Fighter and 3 x LBAS bomber sent to boss. One challenge is to reach the boss. Other is getting RedT once you reach it. Passing node C is the hardest I think.

This is worse then event since all 5 basically a LD run, no chipping the bar. And of course, it took more buckets lol.

EDIT: Hmm, Kasumi just one hit kill that supply depot hime from full health to 0 with 450 damage on day battle. My first 6-1 boss kill at NB. Next run, taiha at C node, again...

anyway, suzuya & kumano k2 confirmed for this spring, and apparently there'll be bb-class k2 as well from the leaked april comptiq issue

I've been delaying 6-4 for quite some time. Since event just over and I have surplus of resources, I'll try to clear it.

Both Suzuya and Kumano getting K2 are nice. I have them both at lvl 76. Hopefully their K2 level not as high as Zara, which I'm still leveling to meet level 88 (1 more level to go). BB would be the foreign one. I'd be surprised if it's Nagato, Mutsu, Ise or Hyuuga. Yamato and Musashi won't be getting one this early either.

Okay, downed another boss. Swapped Poi with AraAra and used Daihatsu + WG on her. Must be lucky as I got head-on on that node and that depot hime was the 600HP variant.
So I noticed that the fighters on Akitsushima won't be shot down. They never lost any rank even fighters on both Yamashiro and Tone were wiped clean. On the other hand, don't bother leveling your LBAS bomber for boss. My double chevrons LBAS bombers went to zero rank after single boss fight, even the fighter I used was 8 stars Iwamoto.

The BB class Kai Ni is going to be interesting. I'm putting my bet on Ise and Hyuuga.

Thanks! I want to be able to clear the whole thing on hard, but we'll see just how many locks there are. I should have enough ships to be able to do so.

Well I just took the second step to whalehood. I decided to get 2000 worth of DMM points to get a dock key finally and some extra ship slots. I'm at the point I can't scrap anyone as they're too good. Saying that, I'm far from a whale. I haven't added money to this in months.
