lol, I have max ship slots, so I put at least 230 bucks into the game.

I don't mind, it makes my life easier and the game doesn't really require any money to actually succeed at it (fighting the RNG is the "challenge" :p).

Watching Japanese frontliners has been amusing to say the least. Seeing people get Yamashiro Kai Ni as a drop was hilarious when it was discovered it was true and not a Photoshop.

I saw the drops and purchased 2000 DM point this morning, which made me a 180 slots ttk. Haven't purchased any other items tho and most probably won't. Extra docks looks nice but I don't think I really need it with 3k buckets and full craned Akashi.

Really? A Yamashiro Kai Ni as drops? Tanaka... I want my BP back!!! Anyway, her and her sister are really good at 5-1 monthly so having them both KN really helps.

I'm still doing monthly while waiting for front liners discover the routing, tricks and drops.

Yeah, it was a bug and was quickly patched out and those Yamashiro Kai Nis got reverted back to normal along with the equipment.

Someone said Littorio dropped at E5H and Roma at E5H boss node.
I probably need to rush the event for the chance of getting them.

Dev should just leave the ship alone and not converting them back lol. Apology scroll incoming again?

I'm going to train Hatsushimo to acceptable level (Kai at least) first for E2 historical ships.

I should get started soon. Information is already mostly there. Japanese frontliners have finished the event, so by this weekend, all the information to formulate a plan should be available.

Meanwhile, I'll keep playing Decisive Battle from NGE as I plan for I clear the event.

4 locks is god damn stupid though.

E3 is combined fleet with TCF AND STF phases, so that's like 12+ ships, then another 18 ships for the other three maps... like what the hell.

Yeah, E3 is really tough when it comes to ship locks. I think that might be my biggest hurdle this event. I really want to clear the whole event on hard.

4 locks are indeed stupid. Not to mention how E3 works.
I'm still waiting for better info. Right now, no enemy fleet info yet and AS and LOS requirement still missing.

E1H should be doable now tho. Planning to bring Isuzu, Naka, Libe, Hyuuga and two fodder DD. Those first 3 should be able to throw OASW.
Oh, actually I can bring 3 CL. I'll put Jintsu/Sendai in the fleet then. Those Sendai sisters aren't part of the historical stuff right?

I don't believe so. At least not that I've seen yet for other maps that might have historical routing yet to be discovered.

First run E1-H, 5 OASW ships, J node, FUBAR from closing torpedoes.
I guess need to reequip one of the OASW ships to be a surface attacking ship. 4 OASW should be aplenty.

Went to boss with 28.6 eLoS 33 formula
Off route from L -> N with 17.1 eLoS 33 formula
24.9 eLoS 33 formula -> Routed to boss

Seriously, node J is the real problem here. 2 torpedo cruiser can easily taiha your ships.

The frontliners are crazy. They pour so much money into expansion slots and damage control goddesses. They also typically have multiples of ringed ships. It also helps they're usually hardcore NEETs.

I think you can bring an AV to the map so that might help a lot with J node.

They even bought dev mats. I saw that on last event where you need to dismantle those saiun. Pretty crazy.

The problem is that double torpedo cruiser. Need to kill them ASAP. Midget subs would help, yes.

Cleared E1H in 12 runs, with Libe, Noshiro, Jintsuu, Isuzu, Bukki(lol) and Ise.
Half of it being blocked at node J and one off-route.
Reached boss 5 times; 2 times didn't managed to kill the boss, with one participating in red tea party and one head-on during last dance.
2nd Last dance achieved S rank with 5 OASW ships in parallel encounter and praying at node J.
Isuzu got a new toy and Shigure got her friend back. I'm going to keep her this time.
I used quite a number of buckets in this map, more than what I expected for 1st map.

Congratulations! I'm hoping I'll be able to start clearing E1H today. KC3Kai's Strategy Room and ship locks planner is an amazing tool. Again, I had Decisive Battle playing on constant loop as I was planning out the locks.

Thanks. I'm planning to use these ships for E2:
- DD: Kasumi, Arashio
- CA: Ashigara, Nachi
- CV: Kaga
- CLT: Kiso
- FBB: Haruna

TP bar with historical ship(without Haruna) and swap Ashigara/Nachi with her during HP bar.
Kinda doubtful to use Kasumi here as she seems useful for E4.
FBB I don't think I'll get a problem as I still have 3 Kongo sisters, Bismarck and Iowa

Or should I just forget about that historical routing and go with 2CAV, 2CV and 2DD and save Kasumi for later map? I got all CAV (All Mogamin class and both Tone class KN)

Basically, your current set up should be fine assuming you get AS on the HP bar phase at the boss, you should be fine.

Okay, wikia updated with enemy fleet formation.

Yeah, I'll go with FBB, CA, CLT, DD, DD and CV at E2. Kasumi not really required in E4 as it can be cleared with 4CV(B), CAV and SSV (Taihou, Crane x2, Akagi, Suzuya KN and Iyo). Hopefully I can clear E2 today and start farming E3 in easy modo this weekend.

Started E2H TP bar.

Akebono, Kirishima, Nachi, Kaga, Kiso and Kasumi. They used historical route, skipping N node, which is nice?
Akebono is very under leveled tho, at level 27, but as a drum carrier, she just need to survive preboss nodes.
Node O air defense is kinda weak so Kaga can be fully loaded with bombers without any fighters. You'll need to spend significant amount of bauxite after that tho.
The downside for this fleet is that TP bar only reduced by 28 or 40 points per run, which will require quite a number of runs. Also, my flagship keep on calling me "kuso teitoku" :'(

1st sortie: A rank on head on. Mogamin appeared.
2nd sortie: Perfect S on parallel on day battle. Fujinami dropped. I want Kunashiri, not her.
3rd sortie: S rank on head-on on day battle. Kaga dropped.

E4 seems to require at least 2 tankhatsus though, doesn't it? Or can you smash the boss with LBAS and blue bombers?

From wiki and some youtube, they use variations of 3-4 CV(B), 1-2 CAV and 1SSV. Looks pretty effective. No tankhatsu required. I still got Verniy, Asashio, Arashio, Ooshio and Kawakaze if something goes wrong (Mutsuki, Kisaragi and Satsuki also there).

Congrats. Yeah last dance the boss became very tough. 1 dmg from a OASW ship is pretty crazy.

Cleared TP bar for E2H.

8 sorties: No retreat, 2 A rank, 3 S rank, 3 perfect S.
3 Fujinami, 2 Mogamin, 1 Suzuya, 1 Kongo, 1 Kaga
Perfect node to rank up your LBAS bomber. Managed to double chevron 7 LBAS bombers from various rank initially.
Bonno survived just fine. Swapping her with Akatsuki for HP bar. Thanks for her service as drum mule.

E2H HP bar quite a challenge.

Tempting to swap Nachi with Pola or Zara for more air power...
Definitely need boss support for this map.

Farming for Kunashiri on easy... I don't know why I keep trying to get all the trophy DDs, but I have them all so far so why not.

Kamoi, Shimusu and Kunashiri, please drop. BTW, should've farm Kunashiri at E2E as E3 is a combined fleet map... darn.

Thanks, kinda surprised with that tbh. Used DD, FBB, CA, CA, DD, CV during last dance for 2nd shelling. Left boss alone at chuuha for NB. Kasumi TCI and other ships just pat the boss to death. Kaga with one fighter-bomber really helps in reducing the enemy fleet and Pola with seaplane fighter make up for the loss in Kaga's slot to get AS.

I'm kind of regretted that I didn't farm Kunashiri there at E2. E3 would be a nightmare, locked to TCF, need to pass 2 nodes and A node is a combined enemy fleet...

I'll keep that in mind for when I start clearing it. I'm hoping to start later today. I'm just really glad my historical ships are high enough level.

Farming E3

Upside: Not much resource used (CAV, CA, CL and DD), most of the time could reach the boss and S rank, not much damage received (usually perfect S on nodes)
Downside: Horrible drop rate (still haven't get a single new ships), combined fleet (less one fleet for expedition)
Notable drop so far: Ooyodo(A node), Noshiro(Q node)(got countless of her from LSC anyway), Zuiho?(V node), Dragon sisters(V node)

Currently letting Akashi repair paint damage and Taugei bringing SS(V) for a walk at expedition 2 whle waiting palne to regain morale. Time to play Fusou in WoWS

CV for AS and spotting helps, also helps in reducing trash mobs. It does in my case as I got FBB for 2nd shelling. I only brought one tho.
TP phase, I didn't bring any fighter, all torp bomber. O node won't bring the rank down.

EDIT: Kamoi secured on 18th E3E V node. My 1st event ship. Time to search for Shimushu. Kunashiri can wait until I finish E5 with Littorio and Roma in the base.

Done E3H TP bar.
9 runs, 2 stopped at preboss with multi taiha, 1 FCF escort used. Reached boss 7 times, 6 of them A rank and 1 B rank out of overconfident and refused to NB.
Hopefully HP bar won't be that tedious... 480 HP FS with almost 200 armor, on top of requiring almost 600 for AS. Tanaka please...

I have hit a big snag. My internet is not working at home and won't be fixed until Wednesday at the earliest. I have Kancolle on my phone, but it's a pain in the butt to use for sorties.

5 runs later... E3H cleared.
That was easy. 3S rank and 2A rank, both on last dance.
Could've been 4 runs if RNG decided not to give head-on encounter on first last dance. Doesn't even need 10 buckets. However, bauxite, fuel and ammo took huge hit here as BB and LBAS ate a lot of resources just by sortieing them.

Tomorrow farm on E4E. Etorofu.

Ouch. That sucks. Not advisable to run events on phone imo.
If you have laptop, you could tether your laptop to your phone and use it's internet. Your phone data cap might be crying tho.
