Ouch, Shigure would help yes. Time to brute force the map then.

Otherwise you may want to reset and go easy. Not much difference between easy and medium other than that type 2 depth charge, which is inferior to type 3. You still got that interceptor plane on easy.

Congratulations! Third huh... I'm only on second...

Event over for me. Got the last ship, Kunashiri, last night after like 6 tries on E2H node R. Time to rebuild the resources and leveling all these new ships. Should level Yura, all new EE, pasta BBs and Kasugamaru/Taiyou before next event.

E3 is a combined fleet map. Kinda expensive to run even with DDs.
Just start clearing it on hard. She might come during the process, hopefully, or at E4. Farming her at boss node post event clear shouldn't be hard either.

Finally dropped. lol

I spent like 50k resources... leveled up 5 DDs/DEs and an Ooyodo. Also got my dupe Suzuya to Kai Ni, so I can turn my other one to a CVL after the event I suppose. At last I'm done with LSC so I don't actually need to save resources anymore. lol

Quite a nice gain in level. Congrats on the new loli.

I didn't feel like leveling dupe Suzuya yet. Too many CVL already and the quest rewards for Suzuya CVL is quite meh. Also need BP for newly pasta BB and Kasugamaru, whom I feel quite important for next event because of her gimmick. A;so Yura.

There's a lot of Kai Nis that are going to added some time soon. I'm most looking forward to Saratoga Kai Ni and Nagato Kai Ni.

Onto E3 boss killing. This is what my k2 level BBs were waiting for.

All my high rank ships are either CV, CVL or BBs minus a few DDs, KTKM, Ooi and Sendai, so this is the bit I've been waiting for haha.

I've always wanted a fighter-bomber, but never made the Shoukaku one because I didn't want to sacrifice the fighter. If everything requires BPs now, it's going to be a pain, although I guess I have 20 or so medals in stock.
Oh jeez, the new ship requires a catapult too? I was hoping to make dupe Cranes. lol

Post event, I didn't feel like continuing Persona 5. Put the game on halt to concentrate on the event, now still didn't feel like turning on the PS4 yet... BTW Fusou in WoWS is great, can't wait to unlock Nagato.

That Iwai fighter-bomber is good. Equipped her on Sara for E5, so she could attack while providing AS/AS+ on most of the nodes. I was obsessed on clearing all the quests previously, so I unknowingly converted the fighter to fighter-bomber. All is good I guess.

I went with Suzuya KN, 3CVB, Satatoga and Hitomi. Those CVs will take care all of them, including the boss. SSV with turbine and engine to make her fast. Not rare to see boss fleet wiped out clean on day battle.

So many ships to level, so many resources to collect, medal as well for BPs...
Kasugamaru, Littorio, Roma, Gangut, Shumushu, Kunashiri, Erotofu, Yura, Ooyodo, 8 Maruyus, Kamoi, Akitsumaru, Okinami, Fujinami, Kazagumo... Lucky my Nagamon is 90+ already and Kumano at 88.

Leveling Kasugamaru, Gangut, 3EE and Maruyu at 3-2 also a major pain... Hard to get S rank, and those EE ate so many torps.

Ah, I see. E4 was kinda stupid for me, farmed on E4E for quite some time, Etorofu won't drop. Changed to E4H, dropped on 3rd kill.

E5 farm using STF on normal. Also I forgot to swap Verniy equips, should've been 2 x HAFD + Air Radar. Tone can be exchanged with Maya for better AACI. OASW on Ooi coz B node sub cancer.

Higher drop rate, like double on S rank. Also normal ain't that hard. RedT with meh equips n ships could still net S rank. I also did 3S + 1/2A rank and reload, also for better drop chance and sometimes on fair weather, could kill the boss on day battle, risking clearing the map on easy/normal.
Resources drop hard like rocks tho, mainly fuel.

Ah, so did you go A-ranks on the final kill rather than resetting the map? Is it a pain to get to the boss kill phase?

How did you set up your LBAS?

Usually A rank during 1st sortie, followed by 3S later, so I don't meet with boss last dance form. Then I reset the map. Node B occasionally chuuha your ship, set one CLT to be able to do OASW to reduce this. Node F might give problem, having an AACI ship reduce the risk. A rank achieved by not entering yasen, yasen ~90% S rank.
LBAS1: 2xLBAS plane + 2xZero 21 skilled (Boss node)
LBAS2: 3xLBAS plane + 1xZero 21 skilled (Boss node)
LBAS3: Raiden + Hien + Hien + Hayabusa (Defense)

For first phase, I use 4 historical ships in escort so they go directly from L to R, without needing to visit cancerous M node. LBAS1 at node D, LBAS2 at node G, and LBAS3 on defense. Boss node so easy with CTF so LBAS was not needed.

Did two CTF run, only for S ranking node E for boss debuff. Not a fan of it seeing planes loosing the ranks. STF all the way. Also BB got less spotlight in this event, I just want them to participate in this map, even only for one map.

Sigh... what with torpedoes in normal map now. Still hitting the ships to taiha on line abreast. Powerlevel in 4-3 became such a pain with ships in red after first sub node...

Well, depends on what the players want lol. Some want Littorio, some want Roma. I got 2 Littorio before getting a Roma. Anyway congrats on free OTO gun.

I honestly don't know why I'm farming, since they cost BPs to level and having dupes seems kind of pointless because of that. lol I guess I'd be happy to get one of each...

Also, my problem is that I'm running out of equipment slots. I keep hoarding stuff that I might use to improve weapons, but I never have the screws to do it. I have 50 41cm guns now, for all those big guns I'll neve improve. lol

Die hard habits. I did this on all games as well, hoarding stuffs that I'm not sure I'll use it or not. Yes, screws are the main problem here. I just finished using my stockpile of 41 cm. Still have aplenty of 15.2 guns tho, and those low tier surface and air radars.

60 transport drums and 20 refill drums also a problem that I don't think I could resolve.

E4 is quite nice for me. Using I-13, Suzuya (with WG42 and Type 3) and Kaga/Akagi and Zui/Shoukaku. The boss is just getting wrecked before it even has a chance to get to night phase on Easy.

The trouble is I can't risk doing Medium.

I have 20 type 21 planes because I know I want to upgrade that second seaplane fighter eventually for the quest... but no screws.

I could craft most of this stuff again, and I guess now that I don't need to LSC there's no reason to save, but still... lol

If you have two CAVs with wg/type3, you should be able to do it on medium or even hard.

I sadly only have one WG42. If I did have two I would've gone straight to Medium I think.

I used all the screws in upgrading seaplane fighter kai to skilled, but it's worth it. I could bring CV + Maya instead of 2CVL in E5 when equipping those fighters to BBs and still having AS/+. Looking forward to burn the screws for another round of seaplane kai skilled conversion quest. Need to craft a whole batch of Zero 21 first tho.

I'm glad I'm finally going to get a catapult, I'll finally be able to upgrade my Zuikaku or is it worth saving to use on something else?

Also, probably moving onto E5 today, so maybe I can finish the event on time! :>

Zuikaku and Shoukaku would be the best candidate to receive the catapult. You could still get two more from quests(which basically intended for the cranes). The reward for this map actually for Kasugamaru -> Taiyou Kai Ni. But yeah, that just a gimmick CVL.

Good luck with E5. You have nicely leveled CVs so I foresee you won't have much problem clearing it on easy.

You could save it for Saratoga Kai Ni when she gets implemented assuming she needs one. I'm guessing you haven't cleared the quest for the catapults.

I haven't done the quests (need to do them) so when I eventually get a Saratoga I can get one for her from there.
