click on the yellow lyrics to get the meanings. If you don't think what's being alluded to, discussed and suggested isn't deep, it's because you didn't know what they were really saying in the first place.
Yup...I understood it. It's not exactly like trying to follow Nietzsche or something.

just in time for E3.

maybe one from when the cop riding the horse smacked the guy in the head with a baton too. lol

Wow, this Rap Genius website is hilarious by the way. I'm currently looking at a dissection of Nicki Minaj's "Stupid Hoe." I think it may be just a tad over-analyzed.

It's kind of the charm of it. The contributors are all pretty witty, and often throw random shots at other artists in the explanations. I love it.

*goes to read*

edit: well, it's accurate at least. it's just that there's no additional depth to get out of her lyrics. Just a colloquialism translation. lol
I don't know...

Cause I pull up and I’m stuntin but I ain't a stuntman
To “stunt” is to show off, go hard, etc. Nicki stunts, but that’s not to be confused with a “stuntman”; she’s more like an actual actor who everybody knows, not the stuntman who no one has ever heard of
Yes I’m rockin Jordans but I ain't a jumpman
This is basically a metaphor stating that she might do certain things similar to someone else, but she’s not doing it simply to “follow in their footsteps” or because they lack originality. In fact, it could be intentionally done to diss that person…

I really don't think she was thinking this, at all. This type of metaphor use is something Lil' Wayne has been doing for a while (maybe even who wrote this) and it's more about the wordplay than any kind of deep meaning. I know there are some good rappers with meaningful lyrics, but I don't think it goes this deep or that rap music is some kind of encoded message.

I'm not sure if this site is entirely serious or not, but some of it is very funny lol.

well I was reading the posts in this thread and by the looks of it it seems the video has disparity from the meaning of the song.

I think its appropriate in the setting (emphasis on the Greek statues of Gods past has an inherent tie-in to Jay's verse) and in how sober they both are.

It also feels like an appropriate way to present the nature of men living and living in a life-changing moment by leveraging the visuals of riots and protests, which represent transition and often highlighted by acting on personal desires at their highest.

I find it clever and appropriate. Especially given the state of the world. Others may disagree.

it's just a collection of meanings as written and presented by users of the website. things are usually corrected if found to be wrong by others who help clarify and interpret lines in verses.

it's not always going to be serious, no. But I mean...if you pick an ignorant song, you're probably going to get a certain amount of silly comments.

that was a very good video and song. First time hearing it. On radio they play gotta have it. I love that song. Hope fully video of that is great too.
