The biggest scoop in recent movie history happened last week with the leaked information of unknown actor BJ Routh's involvement as Superman in WB's upcoming revamp.

Supes' arch nemesis Lex Luthor, however, will not go to an unknown. Well at least not according to Writer/Director

Kevin Smith on a recent interview with the NY Post and other reliable sources. Kevin Spacey is Bryan Singers' number one choice to become the well known super villain.

Kevin Spacey!?!??!!? Ok..... the only movie I've ever liked him in was The Negotiator...(no I've never seen Usual Suspects).

Kevin Spacey is one of the greatest actors, if not of all time, at least of the '90s. Se7en, American Beauty, The Usual Suspects...brilliant.

all of the movies optimistic mentioned, but also Pay It Forward, A Time to Kill, and even his comedic start in The Ref.

For this movie I am definitely feeling somwhere between John Doe and Keyser Soze.

It would also be the second time Singer has worked with Spacey, the first obviously being Usual Suspects.

I have yet to see a movie with spacey in it that I didn't like. There are a few of his that I haven't seen of course, but my point stands.

Somebody give this man a gun, he's in too much pain.

Kevin Spacey is the freaking man,

One of his best performances were in Se7en and the Life of David Gale.

American beauty was pretty good too

*Keeps thinking of how Spacey looked as Dr.Evil in that shaggadilic movie*
umm.. guess that would be the one movie I didn't like him in (actually didn't like the movie in general aside from the "birthing" scene with Mini Me and Powers)

The BEST display of Kevin Spacey's acting has not been mentioned yet. He was best in Glengarry Glen Ross. THAT was the movie that made me respect him as an actor.

This is great news.

But I'm worried that Hollywood is going to do its buttfuckery and KILL OFF A MAIN VILLAIN. I mean wtf, does the villain almost always have to die in a superhero movie? How could they kill off the Joker? HOW MAN? WTF G-DAWG?

Here's hoping this villain sticks around a bit.

he (Singer) didn't kill any of the villians from the first X-Men movie, and only one villian from the second movie.

Let's start by hoping a deal is actually signed. All this news says is that other people within Hollywood believe Kevin Spacey to be Singer's top choice.
