Kilgrave. Kingpin. Loki.

I dont think I really want to label any of them "best".

Kingpin was so weird. He seems like he was suffering from severe autism considering his outbursts and Wesley acting like his caretaker. Then there was that final episode. I still can't decide if it was a good direction or terrible.

He seems really stupid/weird in hindsight and it makes you wonder how that guy ever was in charge of anything. Guy couldn't run a damn Mc Donald's. I'm also not sure his character motivation was solid.

Thanos will be Jobbed in Avengers 3, take it to the bank brehs

10 years of buildup for nothing, the spoiler thread will be delicious.

Loki is certainly the most charismatic and closest to his comic counterpart but Kilgrave was legitimately creepy and dangerous. Kingpin was great but hes slightly behind kilgrave and Loki for me, with Loki just edging the No1 spot.

Probably Kilgrave in that he's fun and also terrifying in how he nonchalantly uses his powers.

Loki is fun but I never get a sense that anyone is really in any danger around him really but I think that's just a byproduct of the more whimsical nature of the Marvel movies.

Kingpin is just bad man. The way he was portrayed on Daredevil made him look like a big, idiotic, blubbering baby that throws tantrums whenever he doesn't get what he wants and he's poorly acted as well to boot from an actor who I know can do much better. I legit laughed at the first scene where he kills a guy and I know the scene was supposed to shock me with how violent it was but just how his character was done just made it hilarious for the wrong reasons instead. Easily the worst part of that show for me, and I really like that show. I'm pumped for next season because hopefully a new villain will emerge.

WhedonJoke Bot 2.0 is your favorite? Is Malkieth on your list too bruh? lmao
In all fairness, Ultron was joking around all the time because the sole basis for his approximation of a personality was Tony Stark. That's why they were saying similar things at times. I think this would have been better communicated by having RDJ himself voice Ultron instead of Spader, but it is what it is.

Now if you still think that's dumb, that's fine, but I think you have to have some element of that in there to get at the father/son aspect of Pym/Ultron (Stark/Ultron in this case).

Loki is by far the best. More to do with Tom Hiddleston's acting than the writing though. He's fantastic in the role.

People keep talking about Kingpin being a man-baby as a failure of the show, like that wasn't the entire point of the character. He IS a tantrum-throwing man-baby, and he's intended to be. He's emotionally stunted and unstable.

Thanos is already a jobber. Dude gave Loki the mind stone and an army to collect another Infinity Gem, and the fucking goober lost TWO infinity stones in the process. His tailor told Loki that there was no where he could run... and then Thor 2 picks up a year later and Loki's chilling in Asgard jail. Then Thanos sends Ronan to get an Infinity Gem, and Ronan is all 'wait, fuck you chicken-legs' and bogarts the stone, even turning Thanos's daughter to his side. This is after he kills Thanos's tailor, ensuring Thanos can no longer get custom jeggings fitted to his skinny calfs. And Thanos is so pissy that he breaks into some kind of safe and goes 'RAAARGH, stones.' Like Thanos you preening prat, you keep losing these fucking things even though they WANT to be reunited.

Kilgrave wouldn't even want to control Thanos, it'd be the equivalent of controlling one of those Duck Hunt guys.

Killgrave. Loki is not even that good, and very overrated. At least the threat level of Killgrave is much much more than a lame villain like Loki.

I tell ya, the first time they intro Kingpin and he's staring at a wall I was all 'wait, is he shoot brain damaged?'

Kilgrave

The other villians are just comic book evil, while kilgrave made me squirm in my seat for how much everything he said mirrored the kind of crap I see rape apologists say on the internet. His attempts to justify rape, and the dialogue he uses to exert control over Jessica sounded way too real. No other villian made me quite as uncomfortable as him, especially considering how charming he was.

And he didn't seem like anyone who could actually become the leader of anything because of it. Intention doesn't necessarily guarantee success and I feel they were unsuccessful at showing him being capable of anything beyond pummeling a guy into the dirt.

I didn't like Daredevil (stopped at around episode 9 or so) because the actors were terrible for Kingpin and Foggy. Killgrave was much more sinister and yet charismatic at the same time.

After finishing Jessica Jones I went back and finished Daredevil but my opinion on Daredevil hasn't changed.

Kilgrave has the best actor and is potentially the most interesting one, but his motivations seem a bit petty. Kingpin seems best written with good motivations, though I agree that it would've been better if you actually saw him direct his crime syndicate and the actor hams it up too much. Loki is all around trash, never got the hype. A cartoony character that doesn't seem imposing or even interesting.

I'm going to give the slight edge to Kingpin, but it may just be because DD is a better series than JJ.

Ward sucks.

Killgrave was great but felt like a missed opportunity in a lot of ways. Kingpin started off strong but really fell off in the latter half of the season. Loki is just fun to watch on screen.

Loki wins for me.

I don't like the way he was used, and overall Jessica Jones was poorly written, but Tennant did Kilgrave so well and in the right moments was so unnerving that he's got to take it.

His origin story is ridiculous and how his sociopathy was written was so stupid though. "Jessica I didn't have good role models I don't know right from wrong!"

Jesus, JJ was written so fucking badly.

I could have been mistaken having only seen it once, but I felt a lot of what he actually said was sarcasm, including that line.
It seemed like he knew very well he was a monster but he actually liked doing it and didn't care otherwise. The only times he actually suppressed his desires or entertained the idea of being good was simply to appease Jessica so he could interact with her and nothing more. He didn't actually want to be good, he was still very bad and he knew it and actually enjoyed it.

Kilgrave definitely. Both Kingpin and Loki are scary men but they are men. There is usually some sort of a sane reason or a thinking process to what they do. And I imagine at some point they can be reasoned with. Kilgrave is like a spoiled child with a terrifying power. His cruelty is so much more random and disproportionate. There is no reasoning with him. No logic. He is the guy that will make you light yourself on fire because you accidentally spilled coffee on him.

Put it like this. If I had to live under the regime of Kilgrave, Kingpin or Loki. I would pick the other two any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Living around Kilgrave is a constant terror.

Kilgrave be like, "You there, I don't like the way you're looking at me. Rip out your eyes."

Kingpin sorta fizzled out towards the end. I'd say Loki, if only because he's the only one to remain a) consistently strong and b) alive over the course of multiple appearances. Other contenders are Grant Ward because, again, alive, and Kilgrave who was consistently entertaining throughout JJ.

Frankly, everyone but Loki is a distant second. Marvel's got a real dearth of solid villains atm.
