Killer Instinct coming to Xbox One

For the people heading to Evo this weekend, I wrote a mini-guide on Killer Instinct as a quick introduction so people aren't going in completely blind. This was all based on my play time with the E3 build, as well as some additional pointers from Max (thank you!).

Dammit, I took the plunge; put in a pre-order for a Day One Edition through the Microsoft Store. I feel kind of dirty, not gonna lie. I just love me some KI.

I'm certain there will be a retail version regardless of whether they currently plan to. People are moaning about it quite a lot on other forums and i'm sure that will get back to Microsoft.
The same thing happened with Halo Anniversary.

EDIT: Not to mention, quite lucky to be getting both consoles at launch. PS4 is coming for me eventually. Damn Naughty Dog...

I have both preordered. *flex*

I was planning to cancel one and it was looking like the PS4. But now that consoles are running scarce... who knows.

So i hear the fight stick is gonna be available day one with the system. Anyone else gonna jump on that? Already have my XB1 pre-ordered. Now I'm just waiting for the judgment day on my walltet. to come.

Well, we'll see about that. I sure hope so, but if history's shown anything, having a pre-order isn't always a guarantee of getting a new console on its launch day. :(

Either way, I can't wait to play this game. I can't even begin to recall how much time I spent playing the original on Super NES and Gold on the N64. I wasn't ever fortunate enough to have an arcade near me get either one, so the home ports were the only taste I got back in the day. I've since played the KI arcade via MAME though and it's still awesome.
 
Wait a minute!!. I haven't been following KI at all....are you tell me RARE a MS developer isn't involved in this game at all!!!?? WTF

I would definitely consider purchasing a KI3 arcade cabinet if they came out with one. That is a real man's collector edition.
 
So will KI be playable by the public on all 3 days of EVO? Just wondering how quickly Glacius impressions/videos will be posted in online.

It should be playable Friday/Saturday maybe on Sunday. Some exhibitors will pack it up Sunday I think to prep to leave or give finals their spotlight. I know that was the case for Marvel vs Capcom 3.

You will probably hear first impressions as soon as the doors open tomorrow @ 8AM PST and maybe see a live stream if someone is willing to do so from their phone.

I guess they're doing a behind closed doors things with the FGC folk. Maybe it is for three days. Is Max going?

I think he should be playable at EVO. KI is going to be at the Mad Catz booth this weekend.
