I'm noticing a trend in that players usually choose to play as ISA and it ends up stacked, with nearly double the amount of Helghast players. Hopefully there's some kind of auto-balance in the works, because it gets pretty ridiculous at times.

Man I can't imagine why anyone would want to play as the ISA over the Helghast. The latter is just so bad ass.

I seriously doubt it. From what I've seen I'm currently favoring the default rifle (though hopefully the ironsights version will have good ironsights).

I just wish the videos out there had more variety in terms of class/weapons. Everyone /seems/ to be the default unit with the default weapon in like every singl one (some shotgun action... not for me I don't think).

Or maybe I just can't tell what's going on in most of them at this point. Anyway, I tend to prefer short/medium range weapons that emphasize aim/headshots.

Yeah i prefer Helghast, but i usually just auto select. Maybe the glowing eyes turns a few off?

I agree. I'll NEVER play ISA unless forced in some manner. Then again, I'm always the "bad guy."

Though the reason for this in the Beta currently is that the bright orange eyes of the Helghast are obvious from across the map. It is much easier to play as ISA (anyone with a brain saw this coming a mile away).

Supposedly they're working on a fix.

Also, it seems really stupid to be able to join a game, leave, join the same game back again on the other side... with unbalanced numbers.

Though I'm guessing at release most of the rooms will be completely full all the time and it won't be easy to just jump back in as someone will have taken your slot.

But really, there should be a cap on each side (half/half). After someone has, say, 16 players, NOBODY ELSE can join their side. Not including something like this would be beyond stupid.

I think the story of Killzone drives the desire to support the underdog. Personally I tend to like the ISA, but you can taste both worlds all you want in the MP, the propaganda over the speakers just draw's you into either side rather well.

The higher classes take a lot of time to unlock

Sniper is a useful weapon to have but it is tricky to master. Ideally, any good team will have a few snipers on a big map like Salmun market. Really poiwerful though. And I love the 'pop' sound the sniper makes :)
 
Jesus. I popped into a game (autoselected) and I ended up ISA. Then suddenly the ISA team had like twice as many people on it than the Helghast. mr_nothin accused me of stacking! Bastard!

I'm getting really tired of my stats being reset each time I play :-/

we were back and forth all night sniping each other. i move to my spot and think its all clear and then BAM! im dead, but luckily i always got revenge! you must have been using spot and mark cause i dont know how else u saw me in the darkest corners:lol

I was soooo sure I had you this 1 time because I had you marked. I had the shot already lined up too. Was inching to the edge of the building and as soon as my crosshair gets on you..BAM i'm dead.

I was headed to kill the target as a saboteur but you shot me as soon as I was about to do it.

Not only have I never played as the Helghast in the beta, I haven't even thought of play as them.
 
o what, my stats that i thought was lost this week suddenly updated! Tons of badges suddenly appear complete on the stats webpage!!! can't wait to play tonight and try out my new skills and weapons ^_^

Nothing that makes them stick out per se, but they do seem lighter in color and that makes them stand out in the environment more than the helghast since their uniform blend in more.
 
A friend of mine allowed me take a sneak peak at some SP material that should go live on Dec.4th. Insaaaaane. There's definitely a big sp/mp gap in terms of amount of effects on screen. The colors are insane, lights and such look practically hand painted and surprisingly warm. Red and blue lights on black surfaces is so hot. Helghast look really active and alive. Scenery is out of this world, first game to give me the vibe of a ultra polished cg movie. Super hyped to play this myself.

It's hard to picture that. I mean the beta is already miles above what most shooters are doing. I know SP is usually more refined, but that concept actually kinda blows me away a little.
